Visitor's Visa

The nationals of Argentina, Paraguay, Uruguay and others do not need a visa to enter Norway and the rest of the Schengen area. You can stay in Norway and other Schengen countries for up to 90 days in a 180-day period if you apply for a Schengen visa.

The nationals of those countries which do require a visa (like the citizens of Bolivia, Ecuador, Cuba, China, Russia, etc.) who have legal residence in Argentina, Paraguay or Uruguay must submit their visa application at the offices of VFS Global in Buenos Aires. The application will be assessed by the Norwegian Consulate General in New York.

The Royal Norwegian Embassy also represents Denmark, Sweden and Iceland for visitor’s visa applications.

***IMPORTANT: As a consequence of the coronavirus outbreak and its spread throughout the different countries of the globe, the representation agreements signed between Norway with other countries have been suspended. This means that hereafter and until further notice, Norway will not process visa applications from Denmark, Iceland and Sweden.
