Stricter rules for entry to Norway – important changes effective from 29 January 2021
The Norwegian Government has implemented more stringent regulations on entry to Norway due to the spread of COVID-19. Several groups who were earlier eligible for entry into Norway, are now not allowed to enter Norway. The new regulations are in force as of 29 January 2021.
You are therefore advised to check whether the new regulations apply to you before you submit an application. Also, please be aware that all travelers are responsible to keep themselves updated on the current rules for entering Norway.

Visa Application Centre kindly recommends planning application submission in advance due to upcoming holidays and pandemic restrictions. If you plan to apply your documents from December 21 to December 31, please pay attention that your documents will be received by the Norwegian Embassy after January 10, 2021.
Delivery time for accepting documents to the Norwegian Embassy in Moscow is increased due to the New Year holidays in Russian Federation.

Foreigners, travelling to Norway, before entering the country must provide document, confirming negative test result on coronavirus.
Test must be taken not earlier that 72 hours before arrival to Norway. If you fail to provide such test you will not be able to enter the country.

Requirement of negative Covid-19 test and quarantine when entering Norway
The Norwegian Government has implemented new regulations on entry to Norway due to the spread of COVID-19.
The regulations are connected to pre-arrival Covid-19 test and quarantine after arrival. The regulations are in force as of 09 November 2020.

Since 09 November 2020 new requirements entered into force:
It means that all visa applicants must present a negative PCR upon entry to Norway and undergo quarantine at a hotel.
