The services mentioned here are optional. To use them, you will need to pay an extra fee in addition to the visa application fee. You must pay this extra fee when you attend the visa application Centre only.
Mode of payment for all the services listed below is Cash. A formal receipt will be generated for every completed transaction.
The prime time appointment service is open from Monday to Friday between 14:30 and 16:00 hours. This service allows applicants, who pay an additional fee, to lodge their applications beyond the normal processing hours (Monday to Friday 08:00 to 14:30).
The prime time service fee is LKR 4,300 per application. Please select the prime time option when scheduling an appointment online and pay the LKR 4,300 in cash when you attend the visa application centre.
Applicants can save time with the convenience of generating Online Health Declaration (HAP ID) at the Visa Application Centre. Appointed staff will provide assistance to visa applicants for completing and generating the Health Declaration.
The cost for this service is LKR 500.00 per application.
Visa fees are required to be deposited to Australian High Commission Colombo bank account in the form of bank drafts only.
VFS would like to offer an optional service whereby the applicant can use cash to purchase a DD from VFS.
This optional service can be purchased for LKR 500.00 (inclusive of VAT) at the time a customer pays the visa fees.
SMS news updates will be sent to you informing you of the status of your visa application. Once purchased you will receive several automated feedback messages to your mobile phone at various stages of the visa application process.
At the end of the process you will receive an automated email message to your registered email address provided in your application form, informing you that the Australian High Commission has arrived at a decision with regard to your application.
Please note that this SMS service will not update you on requests for additional documents or information made by the Embassy/High Commission. These requests will be sent via your email address.
You can buy this SMS service for an additional fee of LKR 270.00 (inclusive of VAT), (per application) at the same time you submit your visa application form and supporting documents at the visa application centre.

There is a photo booth inside the visa application centre. The cost of 4 photographs (which meet the required specification for visa applications) is LKR 300.00.
There is a photocopier in the visa application centre. The cost of one copy (single or double-sided) is LKR 5.
As part of this optional service, VFS offers clients, assistance with lodging applications online for any category including uploading the supporting documents. Applicants can opt to visit the Australia Visa Applicaton Centre to avail of this service and receive end-to end personalized assistance from trained VFS Global officers in completing the online applications and also scanning the relevant supporting documents.
This facility is available for an additional fee of LKR 4,000.00 per application. Service charge will also include upload of any subsequent documents as per the request of the Australian High Commission / Embassy Only.
The assisted form filling service is a service that VFS offers to its clients at the Australian Visa Application Centres. Appointed staff will assist a visa applicant to complete a visa application form at the VAC as an optional service. The cost for this service is LKR 1000.00 per application.
Print outs of documents can be obtained at the VFS Centres at an additional cost of LKR 30 per page.
Clients can get their documents scanned and emailed at an additional cost of LKR 30 per page.
Appointed staff will provide assistance to visa applicants for completing an ETA/E visitor application form at the VAC as an optional service. For eligibility criteria, please click here.
The cost for this service is LKR 500.00 per application.
VFS provides Document Witnessing Service at an additional cost of LKR 35 per page.
The VFS Premium Lounge Service facility is optional and available at the visa application centre in Colombo. The premium lounge service includes:

- Personal assistance in Sinhalese and Tamil provided.

- Faster submission of applications at the visa application centre
- Free SMS & Email alert on the status of your application
- Free Photocopying service for your documents
Important note: Your visa will be processed and decided by the Department of Immigration and Border Protection (DIBP). Use of the premium service lounge does not affect the Service Standard or decision of your application.
What does it cost?
The premium lounge service facilities are charged at LKR. 4295.00 (Inclusive of taxes). This charge is in addition to the visa application fee.

This service allows a mandatory courier return of the decision letters for applicants who do not provide the email ID to receive their visa decisions electronically. Applicants can no longer visit the centre to collect their visa decisions in person. The applicable courier charges will be collected at the time of acceptance of their application.
Courier rates are LKR 600/670/825.
