For kind attention of our Belgium Visa Application Customers

In line with the ongoing safety and precautionary measures related to COVID-19, The European Heads of State and Government decided on 17 March 2020 to temporarily close the external borders for non-essential trips by third-country nationals.

This means that visa applications can no longer be received and no visas to be issued until further notice. The temporary travel restriction should apply for 30 days. Any possible prolongation of this period should be assessed depending on further developments.

Only specific cases (emergency, family members of EU nationals) are allowed to submit the visa requests through VFS. Please note that applications are accepted by VFS only after receiving a confirmation email from the Embassy to receive the documents.
