Long Stay Visa

Applicants applying for Belgium Long Stay Visa (D Visa) Category are requested to appear in person at the visa application center to register their biometrics which includes scans of all fingerprints and live digital photo.

A visa for “long stay” is applicable for people who remain a long time (more than 90 days) or who establish themselves definitively in Belgium.

Since the 2 March 2015 some foreign nationals have to pay a contribution which is to cover the administrative costs involved with the processing by the Immigration Office of a long stay visa application for Belgium. When submitting the visa application, the applicant who is required to pay the contribution shall have to demonstrate that the contribution has been paid in full.   • A visa normally grants you the right to stay in the entire Schengen region. The Schengen countries are: Austria, Belgium, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland.
    A visa grants you the right to spend more than 90 days in the Schengen region.
    All visa applications should be signed by the applicant personally.
  • All fields in the application form must be filled in correctly, incomplete forms may cause delay in processing or even rejection.
  • The Embassy reserves the right to request additional documents and/or information when processing the application.
  • Non-Thai nationals must stay legally in Thailand, either on the basis of a visa for Thailand or on a valid work/residence permit in Thailand.
