Entry into the territory of the Republic of Bulgaria shall be temporarily prohibited from 00.00 hours on March 20 until April 17 2020 inclusive, to all third-country nationals at all border crossing points and with any means of transport, including aviation, maritime, rail and road.

We advise all visa applicants to refrain from using any paid services from touts, unauthorized agents or translation offices standing outside our visa application center. Our experience suggests that the information provided by such sources is often incorrect and misleading. Please note that the VFS Visa Application Center and our Partner Embassies have no affiliation to these entities.

The Embassy and Consulate General of Bulgaria, in Turkey are pleased to announce the opening of their Visa Application Centres in Istanbul European and Asian side, Ankara, Bursa, Edirne, Izmir and Gaziantep. The site provides information on procedures applicable to Turkish residents who wish to apply for a Bulgarian Visa not exceeding 90 days to travel to Bulgaria. However the long stay visa exceeding 90 days has to be submitted directly to the Embassy / Consulate General of Bulgaria in Turkey. This site provides with details related to your application submission and collection process along with other useful information you need to know.

The visa applications are to be submitted at the Bulgaria Visa Application Centres in accordance with the Jurisdiction specified. All applications collected by the Visa Application Centres will be sent to the Embassy / Consulate General of Bulgaria in Turkey for assessment and resolution. Visa Application Centre staff has no say in the visa decisions taken by The Embassy / Consulate General of Bulgaria, Turkey.

Please Note: Visa Application Centers in Istanbul  accept visa applications only from applicants who residing in Istanbul, Çanakkale, Kocaeli and Sakarya.

Please Note: Applications by residents of Adana, Adıyaman, Ardahan, Afyon, Ağrı, Amasya, Ankara, Antalya, Artvin, Aksaray, Bayburt, Batman, Bartın, Bingöl, Bitlis, Bolu, Burdur, Çankırı, Çorum, Diyarbakır, Düzce, Elazığ, Erzincan, Erzurum, Eskişehir, Gaziantep, Giresun, Gümüşhane, Hakkari, Hatay, Isparta, İçel(Mersin), Iğdır, Karaman, Kars, Kastamonu, Kayseri, Karabük, Kırklareli, Kırşehir, Kırıkkale, Kilis, Konya, Kütahya, Malatya, Kahramanmaraş, Mardin, Muş, Nevşehir, Niğde, Ordu, Osmaniye, Rize, Samsun, Siirt, Sinop, Sivas, Şırnak, Tokat, Trabzon, Tunceli, Şanlıurfa, Uşak, Van, Yozgat and Zonguldak cities are accepted at the Ankara Embassy.

PLEASE NOTE: The applicants who will apply from Ankara must apply at least 15 working days before. Also the applicants must attach to their applications files the residence document which is taken from the Directorate General of Civil Registration and Citizenship Affairs or headman.

Please note: Applications by residents of Edirne and districts(Enez,Havsa,İpsala,Keşan,Lalapaşa,Meriç,Süloğlu,Uzunkopru); Tekirdağ and districts (Çerkezköy,Çorlu,Hayrabolu, Mlkara,Marmaraeğrelisi,Muratlı, Saray,Şarköy); Kırklareli and districts (Babaeski,Demirköy,Kofçaz,Luleburgaz, Pehlivanköy,Vize ) are accepted at Visa Application Center in Edirne.

Please note: Visa Application Centers in Bursa and İzmir accept visa applications only from applicants who residing in Bursa, Bilecik, Balıkesir, Muğla, Denizli, Aydın, Manisa, İzmir and Yalova.


Applicants who wish to apply for a visa are requested to kindly read the information on this site carefully. The guidelines listed on this site are to help you prepare your documents accurately. This will reduce the risks of your application being incomplete or take a longer time to being processed.

The Embassy / Consulate General of Bulgaria has the right to ask for any other additional documents it considers necessary, may call the applicant for an interview, and has a contractual right of refusal without any explanation. Kindly note, that in all cases the visa fee, service charge and all optional fees are non-refundable.


VISA APPLICATION PROCESS
Processing Time:

A visa application should be submitted at least 15 days before the intended visit and cannot be submitted earlier than three months before the intended visit. Processing time will be 14 working days depending on the season and workload.

It is also possible to submit a visa application directly to the Embassy / Consulate General. Processing time for submitted applications is approximately 14 working days.


Step 1 : Before applying, please ensure you are very clear on your ‘purpose of visit’ – do remember we are here to assist and help you through the entire visa application process but are not permitted to advise or guide you on choosing a visa category. Since our work is primarily administrative in nature, we have no say on whether you will be granted a visa and how long it will take to process, as this is entirely the prerogative of the Embassy and Consulate General of Bulgaria. Step 2 : There is no need to get an appointment to apply for a visa in Visa Application Centres accross Turkey. Please visit us during operation hours, except Holidays any convenient for you time. Kindly check submission and collection time of the Application Centre you are planning to visit here.

Applicants may enjoy other optional services which are available at the Visa Application Centre, such as Premium Lounge, travel insurance, courier delivery service, and many others.

Applicants are invited to see more details on those services by visiting the “Additional Services” menu.
Step 3 : Submit your application: Please ensure you read the security regulation notices before you visit the Visa Application Centre. Visit Visa Application Centre during submission hours and submit your completed Visa Application Form along with required supporting documents.
Step 4 : Pay applicable Fee: Submission Officer will advise you on payable amount. Depending on VAC location, please check in advance where you should pay Visa Fee. Service fee is accepted in VAC in Euro and if an applicant opts for additional services, then the payment will be done in Euro for Courier delivery and in Turkish Liras for Photograph and Photocopy, Receipt will be provided for all payments made at the Centre.
Step 5 : Kindly track your application through our website by using reference number which is mentioned on your receipt, you may also check status of the application by calling to Call centre (There is optional service of sms and email notification – please do not forget to inform submission officer, if you would like to opt for the same).
Step 6 : Once you have received confirmation that passport is received back by Visa Application Centre you may visit the centre to collect your passport. Please check our passport collection time on “Contact us” page on our website.

TRACK YOUR APPLICATION
After submission of documents at the Visa Application Centre, you can also check status of your application online by simply providing the unique VAC Reference Number and your Date of Birth. VAC reference number can be found on the Invoice-Cum-Receipt provided by the Submission Officer at the application centre at the time of submission.
