Overview

This visa is solely for the purpose of business. This visa is given for a travel period of less than 90 days.

Visa Fees

SERVICE FEE

There is a service charge of 7200 KZT levied per application over and above the visa fees.

The applicable visa fee in Kazakhstan Tenge is as per the current exchange rate.

IMPORTANT:

Service Fees are paid at the Visa Application Center in Kazakhstan Tenge.

The fees are non-refundable.

From 01 August 2019, documents for a short-term and long-term visa to Denmark are accepted strictly with the application form completed online and the payment of the visa fee online, using the link ApplyVisa.um.dk. After completing the application form and paying the visa fee, the customer must print a cover letter from the ApplyVisa portal and submit it along with the rest of the documents at the visa application center.

Documents Required

This list is intended to help you compile the documents for your visa application. Please note that the Embassy may ask for additional documents or further information if this is needed to assess the application.

Please note: All copies of document  shall be colorful. Also, customer must have the original of document at the time of submission.

  1. Visa application form filled in English completely and signed by the customer. For minors: application form must be signed by one of their parent or a legal guardian.
  2. Foreign passport valid for at least three months after the intended date of (last) departure from the Schengen area, containing at least two blank pages and issued within the previous ten years.

    Additionally: 

    Copy of all marked pages of the foreign passport.

    If available other valid or/and expired foreign passports and copies of all marked pages of other valid or/and expired foreign passports.

  3. Two recent color photographs (3,5 x 4,5 cm) on the light background. Image has to bear a true likeness to the customer. Photographs have to conform to the requirements of International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).
  4. Visa fee in line with the categories of the visa facilitation agreements and the Visa Code.
  5. Travel medical insurance covering the entire period of intended stay, valid for all Schengen States and covering any expenses which might arise in connection with repatriation for medical reasons, urgency medical attention, emergency hospital treatment or death during the stay. The minimum coverage must be €30.000.
  6. Copy of the internal passport (issued at the age of 14): pages concerning the customer's biodata, foreign passport(s) issued to him/her, his/her marital status and registration in Kazakhstan.
  7. In cases of minors:

    1. Copy of birth certificate.
    2. Consent of the parental authority or legal guardian should be required only if the minor travels alone or only with one parent. Exceptions should be made to this if the single parent with whom the minor is to travel holds the parental authority alone (i.e. in cases where the other parent has deceased or been deprived of custody, e.g. a death certificate of the other parent or a court degree vesting custody exclusively in the parent who is signing the application would be requested).
    3. Copy of the valid Schengen visa of the parent(s) travelling with the minor for whom a visa is not applied at the same time with the parent(s).
  8. In cases of third-country nationals:

    1. Proof of legal residence in Kazakhstan in line with federal legislation (e.g. residence permit, long-term visa or FMS registration), valid for at least three months after the planned return from the Schengen area or a document proving that the customer has applied for a renewal of proof of legal residence. If not resident, proof of legal presence in Kazakhstan and justification for submitting visa application in Kazakhstan instead of the country of residence.
  9. If the application is not submitted personally by the customer, the customer must issue a letter of full power to the person handing in the application. A letter of full power should also be shown if the passport is not collected personally by the customer.

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED AS PER CATEGORY OF TRAVELLER:

Members of official delegations

Letter (e.g. verbal note) issued by a competent Kazakh authority (e.g.) confirming that the customer is a member of its delegation travelling to the Schengen Member State.

Copy of the official invitation.

Employees travelling on business

Invitation letter or written request from a hosting company, organisation, authority or organising committee of trade and industrial exhibitions to attend meetings or events connected with trade, industry or work.

The following shall be indicated:

  • Information about the host party;
  • Information about the customer;
  • Purpose of travel;
  • Dates of visit (period, number of days);
  • Information about financial conditions of the visit (who is responsible for the costs);

If no such invitation or written request can be obtained, other proof of purpose of stay (e.g. information on participation in the event, entrance ticket to trade fair, business correspondence, programme of the business trip).

In case not already sufficiently demonstrated in the invitation or written request,proof of employment e.g. verification from the customer’s employer with the company’s details, stamp and signature of an executive stuff.

The following shall be indicated:

  • date of employment;
  • position.

If the host party is not financially responsible for all expenses regarding the trip, it is necessary to provide one of the following documentation:

  • statement on sponsorship/letter of financial guarantee from the sending party

    or

  • bank/credit card statement(s) confirming that the customer has 70 EUROS per day (50 EUROS per day if lodging in a hostel or other budget accommodation)

    or

  • other proof of financial means.

Self-employed people travelling on business

Invitation letter or written request from a hosting company, organisation, authority or organising committee of trade and industrial exhibitions to attend meetings or events connected with trade, industry or work.

  • The following shall be indicated:

  • Information about the host party;

  • Information about the customer;

  • Purpose of travel;

  • Dates of visit (period, number of days);

  • Information about financial conditions of the visit (who is responsible for the costs);

If no such invitation or written request can be obtained, other proof of purpose of stay (e.g. information on participation in the event, entrance ticket to trade fair, business correspondence, programme of the business trip).

Proof of economic activity (e.g. 2NDFL or 3NDFL form, extract from the trade/fiscal registry or certificate for individual business) or bank statement(s) covering at least three preceding months.

If the host party is not financially responsible for all expenses regarding the trip, it is necessary to provide one of the following documentation:

statement on sponsorship/letter of financial guarantee

or

bank/credit card statement(s) confirming that the customer has 70 EUROS per day (50 EUROS per day if lodging in a hostel or other budget accommodation)

or

other proof of financial means

Participation in a Conference or Congress

Invitation letter or written request from a hosting company, organisation, authority, or organising committee of a Conference or Congress.

The following shall be indicated:

  • Information about the host party;

  • Information about the customer;

  • Purpose of travel;

  • Dates of visit (period, number of days);

  • Information about financial conditions of the visit (who is responsible for the costs);

If no such invitation or written request can be obtained, other proof of purpose of visit e.g.:

confirmation of payment of the registration fee for participation in a Conference or Congress,

business correspondence,

programme of the event.

Proof of employment, in case not already sufficiently demonstrated in the invitation or written request.

Proof of employment:

For employees – verification from the customer’s employer with the company’s details, stamp and signature of an executive officer. It should include the following information:

  • date of employment;

  • position;

For self-employed people – proof of economic activity (e.g. 2NDFL or 3NDFL form, extract from the trade/fiscal registry or certificate for individual business) or bank statement(s) covering at least three preceding months.

For students and scholars (over 14 years of age) – verification from university or school.

If the host party is not financially responsible for all expenses regarding the trip, it is necessary to provide one of the following documentation:

statement on sponsorship/letter of financial guarantee (e.g. from the sending party)

or

bank/credit card statement(s) confirming that the customer has 70 EUROS per day (50 EUROS per day if lodging in a hostel or other budget accommodation)

or

other proof of financial means

Drivers (international cargo and passengers)

Invitation letter from Denmark or written request from the Kazakhstan national association of carriers (or), or the national association of carriers from Denmark.

The following shall be indicated:

  • Information about the inviting or sending company or organization;

  • Information about the customer;

  • Information about purpose, duration and frequency of trip(s);

  • Dates of visit (period, number of days);

Information about financial conditions of the visit (who is responsible for the costs).

Copy (verified by stamp of the employer) of the contract of employment or work-book.

International carriers license of the Russian (Belarusian) company (copy verified by stamp of the employer).

Original of previous attachment to truck driver’s visa, if available.

Seamen (members of ship crew)

Original and copy of a seamen passport.

Invitation letter from shipping company in Denmark stating the purpose, duration and frequency of trips.

The following shall be indicated:

  • Information about the inviting company or organization;

  • Information about the invited person;

  • Information about purpose, duration and frequency of trip(s);

  • Dates of visit (period, number of days);

Information about financial conditions of the visit (who is responsible for the costs).

Crew-list (rank should be indicated);

Contract of employment.

Journalists

A certificate or other document issued by a professional organisation proving that the person is a qualified journalist.

Letter from his/her employer stating that the purpose of the journey is to carry out journalistic work.

For freelance journalists:

proof of journalistic activity (e.g. a press card or work contract)

and

proof of economic activity (e.g. 2NDFL or 3NDFL form, or excerpt from the trade/fiscal registry, or certificate for individual business, or bank statement(s) covering at least three preceding months).

Information about financial conditions of the visit (e.g. statement on sponsorship/letter of financial guarantee from the sending party, bank/credit card statement(s) confirming that the customer has 70 EUROS per day (50 EUROS per day if lodging in a hostel or other budget accommodation), or other proof of financial means).

Other short-term (90/180 days) labourers (if permissible with Schengen visa and relevant national law)

Letter from the employer and/or employment contract.

Information about financial conditions of the visit.

Members of train, refrigerator and locomotive crews

Written request from the competent Russian railway company (OAO-RZD with its branches and OAO "Refservice") or a competent railway company of Denmark stating the purpose, duration and frequency of trips.

Proof of employment or copy of the work-book.

Information about financial conditions of the visit.

Participants in official twin city programs

Written request (letter) from the head of administration/mayor of the city where the twinning activity is to take place.

Copy of the official invitation from the head of administration/mayor of the sending city with full details of the participant.

Air crews (if in need of a visa)

Letter from the operating body.

Processing Time

Short stay visa applications are usually processed within 15 working days of receipt at the Embassy of Denmark in Moscow if all required documentation is in order (excluding day of submission at Visa Application Centre). However, in some cases the procedure may take considerably longer.

The Embassy of Denmark in Moscow may require further documentation if he or she deems it necessary, before they can make a decision on an application.
