    Increased fees for visa applications

    Please note: As of 02 February 2020 the Schengen visa fee per person (Short Stay Visa) will increase from 60 to 80 euros or the equivalent amount in your local currency. For children between 6-12 years old the visa fee will increase to 40 euros or equivalent

    In accordance with the new Visa Code article 10(1) an applicant does not need to appear in person when lodging an application if fingerprints were collected from the applicant within the last 59 months.

    Dear Applicants,

    Please note that the Denmark Visa Application Centre in Dubai and Abu Dhabi will be closed on Tuesday, 24 December till Wednesday, 01 January 2020 on the occasion of Christmas and New Year. The visa processing and normal operations will commence just for 1 day on Thursday, 02 January 2020, and then will be closed again from Friday, 03 December 2020 till Sunday 05 January 2020.

    The visa processing and normal operations will commence on Monday, 06 January 2020

    Applicants must plan their travel accordingly, and are requested to make a note of the holiday period in order to submit their applications.

    Important Notice: From 01 July 2019, The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark including all Danish diplomatic missions are introducing online payment of the embassy fee for Residence or Work permit. The embassy fee should be paid online using the following link Online Payment.

    Guidelines: The receipt for the payment should be submitted at the Danish Visa Application Centre (VFS) when you hand in your passport, relevant documentation and supply biometrics. Please note that in Residence or Work permit cases there are three fees to be paid.

    1. The fee to either The Danish Immigration Service or The Danish Agency for International Recruitment and Integration (SIRI),
    2. The fee to the Danish embassy through online payment and
    3. The fee to the Danish Visa Application Centre, VFS Global.

    NEW MANDATORY ONLINE VISA APPLICATION: From the 01 July 2019, you must fill in your visa application and pay the application fee online using ApplyVisa.um.dk. After you have applied and paid the visa fee online, you must print the cover letter from ApplyVisa and hand in supporting documents and supply biometrics at the Visa Application Centre
