Department of Home Affairs is pleased to announce the opening of the Visa & Permit Facilitation Centres in 9 provinces and 11 cities within South Africa. Visa and Permit applications will be accepted across these 12 centres in South Africa. These applications will be assessed by Department of Home Affairs in Pretoria. Non-South Africans with a legal residency permit in South Africa can apply for a visa or permit at these centres.

  • Attention Applicants:

    Due to the impact of COVID on our staffing levels and adherence to COVID protocols, Applicants advised that they can expect an increase in waiting times at our centers.

    Please expect delays in our processes of submission, premium lounge as well as collection.

  • DHA Festive Closures

    Submission: Last day 21st December 2021 & reopening again 3rd January 2022.

    Collections: Closed 24th, 27th and 31st December 2021. Collection times between 22nd and 30th – 09:00 to 13:00

  • REVISION IN DHA SERVICE FEE FROM 1 JANUARY 2022

    Please be advised that the fees charged for services provided at our DHA Application Centres will be revised effective 1 January 2022.

    Customers in South Africa who plan to avail of any services at our DHA Centres can view the revised service fee by visiting the payments page on www.vfsglobal.com/dha/southafrica. We appreciate your kind understanding.

  • Attention ZEP Holders:

  • As per the latest decision by cabinet all ZEP holders have now been granted a 12-month grace period meaning that all ZEP permits will only expire on 31 December 2022.
  • During the 12-month grace period holders of ZEP permits should apply for the mainstream visas which they qualify for and need to ensure that their applications comply with the provisions and requirements of the immigration act and regulations. There is no need to apply for a waiver as change of condition is permitted during the 12-month grace period given.
  • ZEP holders can only apply for TRV category at the selection page, please refer to help text on category selection page.
  • At the expiry of the 12-month grace period, those who are not successful will have to leave South Africa or be deported.

IMPORTANT UPDATE

  • Important Notice: Reopening of Visa Categories

    All categories of temporary residence visa’s, including applications of TRV - waivers, TRV & PRP – Appeal, Proof or Permanent Residence, PRP & TRV – Exemption of the prescribed requirement will only be accepted.

    Applicants that have collected their rejected PRP outcome between 10th March 2020 & 30th September 2021 will have until 15th December 2021 to submit their appeal application.

    Please note that adherence to all COVID -19 health protocols at all VFS centers are mandatory.
