Another factor to consider is that during peak travel season, visa processing can take longer than anticipated due to the large amounts of applications submitted.

To ensure a smooth submission process, be sure to carry all the requisite documentation to submit along with the duly filled application form. It always helps to check your passport’s validity on regular basis as many countries require a valid passport six months beyond your return date.
‘Better late than never’ was a phrase not meant for your visa application appointment! Some of the countries you plan to apply a visa for require you to schedule an appointment with the Visa Application Centre to submit an application. Once you have scheduled the appointment, we highly recommend being at the centre 15 minutes prior to the appointed time to avoid missing your slot. If you need to travel urgently, or have missed your pre-booked appointment, you also have the option of using the Prime Time Appointment service that allows you to book an appointment outside the normal working hours in select centres. Please check with the Visa Application Centre if this service is suitable for your visa application.
Once your application is submitted, you can track the progress through VFS Global’s online tracking service. The status will be updated when your passport is ready for collection/delivery. Please also note that once the application is submitted, VFS Global cannot track the status while it is at the embassy/consulate, nor does it have any influence on the application’s progress.
