Copy of COVID-19 negative certificate is no more needed on visa issue date.

Non-Korean passport holder is required for a visa interview.

- India Visa Applicarion Center opens on every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday exept holidays.
- Express visa will be issued following VAC opening date and Normal case will take a week to be issued but it could be delayed. ( Express service is available for ONLY Korean passport holder )
- It will take more than a week for foreign passport holder.
- Normal service is only available from 19 October to 30 October and Express services will launch from 2 November 2020.
- Customers must submit copy of COVID-19 negative certificate on visa issue date.
- Flight ticket, Quarantine confirmation, and urgent reasons statement are not needed.
- All existing visas, except electronic visas [e-Visa], Tourist Visa and Medical Visa, stand restored with immediate effect.

Update on COVID-19: Additional Travel Advisory issue by Government of India dated 05 March 2020

In addition to Visa restrictions already in place, passengers traveling from /having visited Italy or Republic of Korea and desirous of entering India will need certificate of having tested negative for COVID-19 from the designated laboratories authorized by the health authorities of these countries. This will be enforced from 00:00 Hrs of 10 March 2020 and is a temporary measure till cases of COVID-19 subside.

Revised Advisory on Travel to India on account of COVID-19

In supersession of all earlier advisories issued on the subject, the following advisories are issued for travel to India
1. All regular (sticker) Visas/e-Visa (including visa on arrival for Japan and South Korea) granted to nationals of Italy, Iran, South Korea, Japan and issued on or before 03 March 2020 and who have not yet entered India, stand suspended with immediate effect.
2. Regular (sticker) visa /e-visa granted to foreign nationals who have traveled to People’s Republic of China, Iran, Italy, South Korea and Japan on or after 01 February 2020, and who have not yet entered India, stand suspended with immediate effect.

Introduce few changes in our visa policy

Due to the nationwide spreading of COVID-19, India Embassy is going to introduce few changes in the visa policy. Customers are hereby requested to implement the same with immediate effect. It will be in operation till further orders.

1) Customer is required to submit a printed self declaration form

2) All Visa customers have to appear for the interview at Consular section of Embassy of India.

Interviews can be scheduled through the visa application center only and held from 9:00 hrs to 12:00 hrs on a first come, first served basis

3) Customer should take prior appointment before visiting the visa application centre.

Advisory on visas

The Embassy of India has been receiving queries from Korean and foreign nationals residing in ROK as to whether they can use their valid single/multiple entry visas to travel to India.

In this regard, the following may kindly be noted:
1. Korean and foreign nationals who had traveled to China on or after January 15, 2020, should contact the Embassy or the Visa Application Centre located in 3 Floor, Shinwon Plaza building, Dokseodang-Ro 85 Yongsan-Gu, Seoul for guidance so as to avoid any inconvenience on arrival in India.
2. Chinese passport holders intending to visit India should contact the Embassy to apply afresh for Indian visa. It is clarified that existing visas (e-visas and regular visas) are no longer valid.

2. With effective from 09 December 2019, “Declaration letter” is not required from the mandatory document

All visa applicants must attach a copy of their ID card from 28 June 2017.

Instructions for online application form:

Due to the strengthening of the Embassy of India’s review of documents, please provide all details on the application form in detail.
1. Please fill out the full National ID number.
2. If you are a foreigner, please write your Korean address in the Present Address section and your country address in the Permanent Address section.
3. When you apply for a dependent visa, please select the same visa type as the main applicant.
4. Beside of above, all the details should be filled in detail.

All Chinese applicants are required to submit E-ticket to visit India and a balance certificate from bank accounts in addition to other supporting documents mentioned on the checklist above.
