HOW TO APPLY

Easy tourist visa

Service guidance: This service is for the applicants who are unable to prepare the documents by themselves. VFS staff will complete your visa application form and send it back to your place via courier once your visa was processed at the Embassy. You may also use other optional services on this page -“Submit your application in-person” or “Submit your application by post” as your preference.

Step 1:

Check your visa fee and pay by bank wire transfer.

Your applicable fees are as below:

Korean Passport holder- KRW 152,390

Visa Fee for Tourist including VFS service fee + Form Filling fee (KRW 12,000) + Courier fee for returning passport (KRW 9,000) + SMS service fee for informing progress of visa state (KRW 1,500) + Express fee (KRW 4,720) : Optional services.

Non-Korean passport holder- please visit visa center after making an appointment. All non-Korean nationalities are required interview in Indian Embassy. Interview may not be able to have same date with your appointment date.

All additional service fees are payable by Cash or bank transfer

Remit your fees to the following bank account and enclose the original receipt with your application/documents:

Step 2:

Please enclose the following documents in a sealed envelope and mail/post them to the mailing address mentioned below.

Note: Once the application is processed by the Embassy of India, the passport/documents will be sent back by mail/post to the given address mentioned in the Application Form

Process time for Korean national would be taken average of 5 working days and please check Non-Korean nationals individually.

Submit your application in-person

This guide is a general procedure of visa applications.

Please proceed as the following order.

Step 1:

Read complete information on the visa requirements through the ‘Visa Information’ page and download the appropriate checklist relevant to the purpose of your visit.

Select visa type on the ‘Visa Information’ page for downloading Checklist and application forms.

Step 2:

Read the checklist carefully, print it out and gather supporting documents.

All documents for India visa should be prepared English.

Step 3:

Visa center provides the service of standard photo facility. (2 photographs taken for KRW 9,500)

It is available to take pictures in the center or print pictures taken on the white background by sending an e-mail.

Due to the strengthening of reviewing documents from the Embassy, please fill up the application in detail.

  1. Please fill out the National ID number.
  2. If you are a foreigner, please write your Korean address in the Present Address section and your country address in the Permanent Address section.
  3. When you apply for a dependent visa, please select the same visa type as the main applicant.
  4. Beside of above, all the details should be filled in detail.


The information in your visa application should be fully completed without blanks.

Step 4:

Check your visa fee and other service fees applicable for you and pay by bank transfer.

All visa fees can be confirmed on the "Fees and charges" section of the visa information)

Your applicable fees are as below:

Visa Fee + Facilitation Fee (KRW 5,770 per application)

If you do not wish to return to the Visa Application Centre in Seoul to collect processed passport, you may opt courier service to receive your passport back at a cost of KRW 9,000 per application as an additional service.

All additional Service Fees are payable by Cash or bank transfer (Please refer to the Additional Services page).

Please remit your fees to the following bank account and submit the original receipt with your application:

Please note that personal/company cheques, mobile/phone banking receipts, ATM receipts or cash are not accepted.

Step 5:

Make an appointment through “Schedule an appointment” page to visit the India Visa Application Centre in Seoul.

Applicants who will use an express service (Korean nationals only) or those who are required to attend an Embassy interview must submit application in the morning with an appointment. Also Embassy interviews may not be available depending on the workload of the Embassy.

(In general, visa applicants who are non-Korea citizens will be required to have an interview of the Embassy.  The recommended time for making appointment of your interview is from 09:00 to 10:00)

Step 6:

You may refer to the ‘News and Updates’ section on the website and look for any relevant updated information or notices before applying.

SUBMIT YOUR APPLICATION BY POST (Optional Service)

Postal Service is only available for applicants who apply for Tourist and Business visa. It is highly recommended to mail/post your application at least two weeks in advance to your intending date of travel to India.

Non-Korean Nationals: You might be required to appear for a personal interview at the Embassy of India. If interview is required, you cannot use this mode of submission. Hence it is advisable to call up our helpline (070 4044 1750) and clarify this part before you start your preparation.

Step 2:

Read the checklist carefully, print it out and gather supporting documents.

Step 3:

Click here to download/print the Postal Service Application form and fill out completely.

  • Original passport
  • Original fee remittance receipt
  • Supporting documents (if any)
