Welcome to the Web site for Italy Visa Application Center managed by VFS Global. VFS Global is a commercial company, working as a privately-run service company, authorized by the Embassy of Italy to provide the users with complete information on procedure and requirements for visa and to collect the visa applications. However, any assessment and decision on visa is taken by the Embassy only.

Step 2 Before you decide to apply for a visa please make sure you familiarize yourself with the information on the visa subclass you are applying for. Quick links to information on visa categories and other helpful information including Visa Fee, VFS Service Charge and Processing Time can be found on the Visa Wizard page on this website.

Step 3 Applicants should fill the Visa Application Form corresponding to the visa subclass under which they wish to lodge their application. Applicants can get the visa application form by visiting the nearest Australia Visa Application Centre or by downloading the forms from Applications and Forms.

    As a precautionary measure to avoid the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19), all customers visiting the Visa Application Center in Jakarta are required to have their body temperature checked before  entering the Centre.

    For customers with an appointment and having a temperature ≥ 38 ℃, our security team will date stamp the appointment letter and inform the customer to return with the letter when his/her health condition has improved, by emailing our helpdesk.

    Those with signs and symptoms of COVID-19 (e.g. fever, cough and difficulty breathing) should seek medical advice as early as possible from the Indonesia Health Authorities.

    This is to inform that in reference to the decree of the Prime Minister of Italy dated 08 march 2020 and 09 march 2020, foreigners who enter/stay in Italy will be subjected to the restriction measures contained in the said decree, which will take effect until 03 April 2020.

    This Embassy would like to further inform that in the emergency situation related to the Covid-19, people holding a valid Schengen visa (issued between 01 February 2020 and 30 June 2020), who have so far been unable to use the visa, would have the possibility to change/extend the visa free of charge, without VFS’ service fees, under the following conditions:

    1. The visa issued has not been used;
    2. Holder of the visa is able to show that his/her trip has been rescheduled – and NOT cancelled – by providing supporting documents related to the new travel plan;
    3. The extension of the visa can be requested at the latest 120 days after the date of issuance of the current visa through the Italy Visa Application Center – VFS Global;
    4. The new date of travel, as per new Visa Codex, cannot exceed 180 days from the date of request of extension of the visa.

    It is not possible, under any circumstances, to refund the visa fee already paid.

  • According to the instruction of the Embassy of Italy in Jakarta, effective 09 March 2020 applicant who wishes to apply for Schengen Visa is required to come in person to the Italy Visa Application Centre for Fingerprint Collection. This includes applicants who have rendered their fingerprint data in last 59 months (VIS), except for the Children under 12 years old.

    Please note: As of 02 February 2020 the Schengen visa fee per person (Short Stay Visa) will increase from 60 to 80 euros or the equivalent amount in your local currency. For children between 6 – 12 years old the visa fee will increase to 40 euros or equivalent.
