Welcome to the website for Japan visa from Sri Lanka. VFS Global manages visa application centres for Japan visa in Sri Lanka where you can submit your completed Visa applications. Applicants who wish to apply for a Visa are requested to kindly read the information on this site carefully before applying.
Effective from 12th May 2021, below COE Categories only will be accepted

Due to prevailing COVID 19 situation in Sri Lanka, Please refer below details for Validity period of Certificate of Eligibility (COE)
COE issued from 1st October to 31st December 2019 will be valid till 30th April 2021(already expired and no more extensions)
COE issued from 1st January 2020 to 31st July 2021 will be valid till 31st January 2022.
COE issued from 1st August 2021 to 31st of January 2022 will be valid for a period of six months from the date of issuance.
All applicants are requested to install the following Mobile applications before visiting Visa application center
1. MySOS (video call app)
2. Location Information apps (Setting Google Maps on smartphone）
3. Contact-Confirming Application (COCOA)

Applicant must submit a copy of the “Written Pledge” to the airport quarantine office while applying for the visa & Entering Japan - click here to download

All Long-term applicants are required to submit Individual Number Card Application along with the visa application.
VAC operational hours: Only on Mondays & Wednesdays from 8:00hrs to 13:00hrs.
