This site provides information on procedures applicable to all Indonesian residents and Non- Indonesian residents who wish to apply for a Schengen visa to travel to the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg. It also provides information regarding applying for a visa for the Caribbean parts of Netherlands (the countries Aruba, Curaçao and St Maarten and for the Dutch Caribbean islands Bonaire, St Eustatius and Saba).

Until further notice, Schengen Member States have suspended visa representation for other Schengen member countries. This means that the Netherlands VAC, until further notice, only accepts visa applications for the Netherlands itself. Please contact the local representation of the Schengen state you are trying to apply for to receive more information.

European Union, Schengen country and United Kingdom nationals and residents plus members of their families, as well as residents of third countries on the list established by the EU can presently travel to the Netherlands. Please note this list is subject to change, according to developments regarding Covid-19.
For countries still under the EU travel ban, there is a limited number of exemptions (where it ís possible to travel to the Netherlands).
Visit the relevant page on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs website to view the lists of countries, to learn more about the exemptions and to see if you can apply for a visa.
Temporary visa category partner in long-distance relationship
A new temporary short-stay visa category ‘partner in long-distance relationship’ has been created by the Netherlands.
Re-opening of Visa Application Center in Jakarta
Based on the new PSBB regulation, VFS Services Indonesia will be operating at 25% of the normal capacity. Effective from Wednesday, 16 September 2020 the Netherlands Visa Application Center will accept visa applications with certain limitations. Customers can lodge the visa application by appointment only.
Additional Covid-19 fee and mandatory passport return by courier
5 euro Covid-19 fee
For the time being, the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs has given VFS permission to charge an additional ‘Covid-19 fee’ of 5 euros (or the equivalent in local currency) per application. This non-refundable allowance will be levied online or at the VAC – whichever scenario is applicable in your specific country.
Passport return by courier
Until further notice, the use of a courier service for returning your passport(s) is mandatory. This measure has been taken to reduce the number of people in a particular Visa Application Centre.
As a precautionary measure to avoid the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19), all customers visiting the Visa Application Center in Jakarta are required to have their body temperature checked before entering the Centre.
For customers with an appointment and having a temperature > 37.3 ℃, our security team will date stamp the appointment letter and inform the customer to return with the letter when his/her health condition has improved, by emailing our helpdesk.
Those with signs and symptoms of COVID-19 (e.g. fever, cough and difficulty breathing) should seek medical advice as early as possible from the Indonesia Health Authorities.
