    Notifications from Dutch MFA COVID-19

    The Dutch MFA has just issued the below for visa applications globally. They are shutting down visa acceptance except for emergencies and national interests’ cases as advised below.

    Herewith the guidelines from The Hague for the period March 18 – April 6 regarding the issuance of Schengen visa:

    The granting of visas shall be limited to the following categories:

    Humanitarian / serious personal reasons:

    Family visits in case of serious illness likely to result in death or death (supporting documents must be provided). In the case of an application in relation to death, consultation with the Visa Service will take place in advance);

    Partners for assisting spouse in childbirth;

    Necessary medical treatment that cannot be provided elsewhere (under the usual conditions).

    Guidance: these are generally unforeseen situations in which postponement of the issue of a visa does not offer a solution and for which applicant only needs to travel to the Netherlands.

    National interests:

    Urgent and important business interests: discussions (possibly in relation to Covid-19) of e.g. Shell, KLM or other NL companies.

    Participation in (political) negotiations at a high level, at the invitation of NL.

    Individual politically sensitive applications, at the request of DCV.

    Applications submitted by International Tribunals (seat obligations) on behalf of suspects, witnesses, victims;

    Important Notice:-

    The Kingdome of the Netherlands shall not represent Hungary in Sultanate of Oman from 01 November 2019.

    The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary has the honors to inform that the Hungarian Embassy in Muscat , Oman is expected to start issuing visa as of 01 November 2019

    The minimum processing time of a visa application is 15 days. Applicants are advised to leave enough time between the appointment date and travel date to have their visa application processed. No guarantees can be given on the visa application’s return date as delays may occur.

    The Embassy is not in a position to update on the visa application status. This can only be done through the tracking application number your received when you applied.

    Please note that your passport will be kept during the visa application process.
