The Royal Norwegian Embassy in Beijing is pleased to announce that VFS Global has been authorized to run the Norwegian Visa Application Centre in Tokyo. This service is available for Japanese citizens /non-Japanese citizens legally residing in Japan who wish to apply for a Schengen visa or residence permit to Norway. "From 15 July 2020 the Norwegian government allows for visits to boyfriends or girlfriends who live in Norway in addition to visits to close family.
The Directorate of Immigration (UDI) has prepared a form to be filled by the sponsor declaring that the relationship is genuine and has been lasting for more than nine months.
This comes in addition to other required documents. The form can be found at UDI.no.
Visa applicants must bring a copy of the signed form when handing the application and supporting documents.
All other requirements for a visa are still in effect. Travelers who are exempted from the visa requirement must bring the form when checking in at the airport.”
Change in entry rules from 15 July 2020
In effect from the 15th of July, Norway is opening for submission of certain categories of short-stay visas (C) and D-entry. The acceptance of residence permits are the same as before. The Norway VACs shall from the 15th accept applications categories as listed below:
Applicant intending to visit children(step-children) who resides in Norway.
