  • Requirement of negative Covid-19 test and quarantine when entering Norway

    The Norwegian Government has implemented new regulations on entry to Norway due to the spread of COVID-19.

    The regulations are connected to pre-arrival Covid-19 test and quarantine after arrival. The regulations are in force as of 09 November 2020.

  • Everybody visiting Norway (not Norwegian citizens or people with residence permit in Norway) must:

    • Present negative Covid test upon arrival
    • Stay in a hotel for quarantine in 10 days before going to the family-members house in Norway

  • As of the date, 09.11.2020, the VFS service fee (21 Euros) will be charged in Cash and Euros. Please make the necessary arrangements before coming to our offices.
  • More family members who live outside the EU/ EEA can now travel to Norway.

    The government has announced that it will be possible for more family members residing outside the EU/ EEA to travel to Norway from 21 October 2020. Before applying for your visa, please read the complete information here.

  • Family members and boyfriend/girlfriend of Norwegians may now come to Norway to visit. Norway opening for some visa categories from July 15th

    Starting 15th of July, the Government allows the entry of foreign nationals from countries outside the EU/EEA (referred to as third-country nationals) who have family or an established romantic relationship in Norway. However, no exemptions are to be granted from quarantine duty or from ordinary provisions of the Immigration Act.

    Who can apply for a visa to Norway now:

    Foreign national who can document place of stay for quarantine according to Covid-19-regulation § 5, first paragraph, and who has the following relation to a person residing in Norway:

    • Spouse, registred partner or cohabitant
    • Child or stepchild under 21 to a person residing in Norway
    • Parent or stepparent to a child under 21 residing in Norway
    • Boyfriend/girlfriend who have been in the relationship for a period of at least nine months. Parties are required to have met each other physically. The person who lives in Norway must submit a self-declaration which the relationship partner must present on arrival in Norway, confirming that the two requirements have been met. A copy of the form shall be submitted together with the application for a visa.

    Where and how to apply

    From Monday 20th of July it is possible to apply for a visa at VFS Global for the category of applicants mentioned above. Please note that the visa application must be handed in at one of our VFS Global application centers. It is obligatory to book appointment. Due to the Covid 19-pandemic not all VFS application centers are open (Baku) and not all application centers are open all days. (VFS Ankara and Istanbul are open Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. VFS Izmir and Antalya are open Wednesdays). Please find link to all VFS applications centers at our webpage:

    Importance of documentation:

    Please note that all normal application requirements for visa are valid. The lists of documentation requirements are available on VFS’ webpages. In addition, when handing in your application at VFS, you must prove that you are in one of the categories mentioned above. If not, VFS are instructed to refuse to receive your application.

  • Please take an appointment from call center before visit our visa application centers to apply visa. Applications will not be accepted without an appointment.
  • The Norwegian Embassy in Ankara will open for applications for residence permits to Norway from 01 July 2020 from Turkey, Ukraine, Kosovo and Serbia. VFS Baku is also now open.

    All applications for residence permits must be handed in at one of the VFS applications centers. Please note that it is mandatory to book appointment.

    VFS Ankara: Wednesdays and Fridays
    VFS Istanbul: Wednesdays and Fridays
    VFS Antalya: Wednesdays
    VFS Izmir: Wednesdays

  • Increased fees for visa applications

    Please note: As of 02 February 2020 the Schengen visa fee per person (Short Stay Visa) will increase from 60 to 80 euros or the equivalent amount in your local currency. For children between 6-12 years old the visa fee will increase to 40 euros or equivalent

  • Antalya JVAC will be closed from 18 May 2015 till 25 May 2015 due to renovation. For detailed information, please contact
