Restrictions on entry into Norway
The Norwegian Government has implemented extensive restrictions on entry into Norway due to the spread of COVID-19. As a result, foreigners who do not hold a valid residence permit in Norway will be rejected at the border and refused entry into Norway. For the time being, visas for visitors to Norway will not be granted.

Temporary closure of VFS’ Visa Application Centre for Norway
Due to the extensive restrictions on entry into Norway, it will no longer be possible to submit applications for Schengen Visas to Norway at any of VFS’ Visa application Centres. The Application Centres will still be open for submission of applications for Residence Permits to Norway. For any enquiries, please write to us on email@example.com or call us on 0205000617.

New regional system for immigration cases
As from 30 July 2018, applications for visa or residence permit will be processed by the Norwegian embassy in Nairobi- Republic of Kenya. However, applications will still be received through VFS Global in Republic of Uganda after this date.
Apply and collect as before!
You will still be able to submit the application and collect the decision letter from the same visa application center as before. Whereas the application procedures remain the same, please take note of the following changes when applying to go to Norway from 30 July 2018:
