    Norway visa application centre in San Francisco moves to a new location:

    The Norway Visa Application Centre (VAC) at San Francisco will now function from new premises from 04 September 2018. The VAC will be located at:

    • Attention Schengen Visa Applicants: Please note that our Visa Application Centers in USA will only accept one appointment per applicant for any of the Schengen countries which we serve in our locations. You must submit the application for a Schengen Visa at the Consulate of the country that you intend to visit, or, if you intend to visit more than one Schengen state, the Consulate of the country where you will spend the longest period. If you intend to visit several Schengen states and the stay will be of equal length, you must apply with the Consulate of the country whose borders you will cross first when entering the Schengen area. If you send your applications to the wrong mission, your application will be canceled. Please contact our call center should you have any questions.

    Are you applying for a visa or residence permit to Norway? Please make note of the following changes:

    Beginning in the fall of 2015, procedures for applying for visas and residence permits in the U.S. will change. The Embassy and Consulates will no longer provide this service. Instead, Norway will outsource part of the visa and residence services to VFS Global as described below. VFS Global has offices in New York, Chicago, San Francisco, Houston and Washington, D.C.

    To apply for a visa or residence permit, you must follow these steps in order:

    • Log onto to submit your application and pay the application fee.

    • Book an appointment with one of the five VFS Globaloffices listed above. These five offices are the only locations in the U.S. at which you may apply for a visa or residence permit.

    • Go to your appointment to submit your documents and to have biometric readings taken. Remember to bring all documents listed in the online document list, and one passport photo.
