Overview
This type of visa applies to people who want to entry Croatia for tourism.
Citizens of Vietnam who plan to visit Croatia are required to have a visa. If you reside in Vietnam please check whether you require a visa for Croatia: http://www.mvep.hr/en/consular-information/visas/visa-requirements-overview/.
All tourist agencies that work with the Embassy of the Republic of Croatia should have their valid accreditation. Agencies should apply valid accreditation send to VFS before submit any tourist visa applications.

IMPORTANT NOTICE
Pursuant to the Government’ Decision, the Republic of Croatia decided to apply Decision No. 565/2016/EU according to which all visitors holders of valid Schengen documents do not require an additional (Croatian) visa to enter Croatia.

The period of validity of the above mentioned Schengen documents must cover the duration of the transit or stay.
A short-stay visa (C-visa) allows the visitor to transit through, or stay in the territory of the Republic of Croatia for a maximum of 90 days in any period 180 day-period. It is issued for one, two, or multiple entries for the purpose of transit, tourism, business, private or other purposes. Its validity period depends on the circumstances of the visitor’s travel to Croatia and may not exceed five years.
Having a visa does not guarantee you will be allowed to enter Croatia. Some necessary documents may be required by the customs.
Applicants who want to get the Tourist visa can submit their applications one by one, apply with others and may be interviewed/ presented by the Embassy of Republic of Croatia.
Children under 18 years old applying must have a parent/ a legal guardian comes along with evidence.
The submission date of applications is not more than three months from the date of departure.

Visa Fees
Fees are due on the visa application when applying.
Category VISA FEE IN EURO Visa Fee in VND Type C 90 2,720,000
VFS SERVICE FEE (VND) LOGISTIC FEE (VND) 998,000 1,209,000
VFS Fee EUR 33 and Logistic Fee EUR 40 will be collected at VFS counter.
The following are exempt from visa fees upon application:
- Family members of a Croatian citizen (spouse and children),
- Family members of citizens of EEA Member States,
- Children up to the age of 12,
- Holders of diplomatic and service passports travelling in their official capacity
- Pupils, students, postgraduate students and teachers accompanying them when they come to attend school, study and professional training,
- Researchers coming to conduct research, as provided for by the Recommendation of the European Parliament and of the Council of 28 September 2005 to facilitate the issue by the Member States of uniform short-stay visas for researchers from third countries travelling within the Community for the purpose of carrying out scientific research,
- Representatives of non-profit organizations up to the age of 25, who are to attend seminars, conferences, sport, cultural or educational events organized by non-profit organizations.
For Russian nationals pay 35,00 Euro, for urgent visa (for visa in less than 3 days) they can pay 70,00 Euro ~ 1,960,000 VND. The applicants who submit their applications at the Visa Application Center can pay the visa fee in cash or through credit/ debit card.
Applicants exempted from the visa fee need to pay only VFS Service fee and Logistic fee.
The service fee is inclusive of all applicable taxes.
All fee are non-refundable.

Before you visit the Visa Application Centre, you will need to make an appointment using the online appointment system.
Croatian Embassy may require you to submit additional supporting documents and/or certified translation as well as the international certification (appostille) of the documents during the visa application process.

Photographs must follow the below guidelines
- in colour
- 35x45 mm
- printed on normal photographic paper
- taken against a light background
- full face taken straight forward 30-36 mm from point of the chin to the head of hair
- the person is to be captured with neutral facial expression, with his/her eyes open and mouth closed
- The photograph of a person, who for religious or medical reasons is wearing a head cover, must show the person's cheeks, chin and forehead

Processing Time
Standard visa processing time will take 15 until 45 days from the receipt of the application at the Embassy (it could be shorter, depending on the documentation). However, in case the documents are not submitted as per requirement or due to other factors or justified reasons, the processing time may be extended.
For citizens of Armenia, Azerbaijan, Cape Verde, Georgia, Moldova (holders of non-biometric passports), Ukraine, visa processing time is up to 10 days. Pursuant to the Government’ Decision, the Republic of Croatia decided to apply Decision No. 565/2016/EU according to which all visitors holders of valid Schengen documents do not require an additional (Croatian) visa to enter Croatia.

The period of validity of the above mentioned Schengen documents must cover the duration of the transit or stay.
It allows Vietnamese citizens to travel on business to Croatia and stay no more than 90 days for a period of 6 months from the date of first entry into the country.
Visa application can be submitted by:
- Visa applicants.
- Representing a company for the group of colleagues with corporate power of attorney (that is, co-workers). The group is considered a candidate number of more than 5 people.
- Please note that applicants holding a valid Schengen visa with at least two entries can stay in Croatia for up to 90 days in a six-month period without a Croatian visa.
This is also true for holders of a valid residence permit issued by one of the Schengen member countries and holders of a valid long-term (category D) Schengen visa.

The applicant for a multiple-entry visa must have travel health-insurance policy that covers the period of the first visit to Croatia.
- Proof of residence for nationals other than Vietnam: a photocopy of the stay permit;

Documents proving sufficient funds to support the stay in Croatia and to return to the state of residence or to travel to a third state:
- 70 EUR per day of the estimated stay in Croatia
- 30 EUR per day of the estimated stay in Croatia if a third-country national is in possession of a certified Letter of Guarantee by Legal Person from the Republic of Croatia
Exceptionally, if the Invitation Letter indicates the guarantor is fully accepting all the expenses related to visiting and departing from Croatia, the applicant can be exempt from the requirement to present the proof of sufficient funds.
The supporting documents may include: pay slip and/or bank account statements about the balance and transactions on your bank account in the last three months, a pension slip, proof of scholarship received etc.
- Proof of professional status: evidence of employment; certificate of school attendance or proof of studying etc; for retired persons – proof of pension
- Accommodation: hotel booking, private or other accommodation, real estate title deed or lease, proof of ownership or lease of a boat etc. Accommodation can be provided by the guarantor or the inviting party if so indicated in the Letter of Invitation.

Upon arrival in the Republic of Croatia you must register your stay with the concerned police administration within 48 hours and complete formalities for work and residence permit with them.

Travel health insurance the possible expenses related to repatriation, for health reasons, urgent medical assistance and/or urgent hospitalization, with the minimum coverage of EUR 30 000. The insurance must be valid for 30 days counting from the date of entering into Croatia. Additionally, the insurance has to be valid for Croatia, Schengen or World-wide.
The applicant for a multiple-entry visa must have travel health-insurance policy that covers the period of the first visit to Croatia.

Processing Time
Standard visa processing time will take 15 until 45 days from the receipt of the application at the Embassy (it could be shorter, depending on the documentation). However, in case the documents are not submitted as per requirement or due to other factors or justified reasons, the processing time may be extended.
For citizens of Armenia, Azerbaijan, Cape Verde, Georgia, Moldova (holders of non-biometric passports), Ukraine, visa processing time is up to 10 days. Long-term visa

Overview
Visa type D substitutes the procedure of short-term (type C) visa applications of third-country nationals who have been granted temporary stay or issued stay and work permit by the competent Police Directorate/Police Administration.
The long-term visa is an approval to stay in the territory of the Republic of Croatia up to 30 days if a third-country national has been granted temporary stay for:
- Family reunification,
- Secondary school education,
- University studies,
- Research,
- Humanitarian grounds,
- Life partnership,
- Work;
- Work of a posted worker;
- Stay of long-term residents in another EEA Member State,
- Stay of digital nomads,
- Other purposes
Visa type D is issued:
- to third-country nationals who have been granted temporary stay or issued stay and work permit, and are required to hold a short-term visa to enter the Republic of Croatia;
- for maximum 30-days' stay;
- for one (1) or multiple (MULT) entries;
- with the period of validity no longer than six months; long-term visa shall not become valid prior to the beginning of validity of the granted temporary stay or the issued stay and work permit in the Republic of Croatia;
- in a valid travel document in the form of the sticker also used for the issuance of visas type C; the letter “D” is entered into the category “Type of visa”.
The procedure of issuance of long-term visas is identical to the procedure employed until now for the issuance of short-term visas to third-country nationals who have been granted temporary stay or issued stay and work permit by the competent Police Directorate/Police Administration.
A long-term visa application shall be considered admissible if:
- it was submitted no sooner than two months before and no later than two months after the beginning of validity of temporary stay or the issued stay and work permit in the Republic of Croatia
- it was submitted on a prescribed form
- a travel document is presented along with the application with validity at least three months longer than the validity of the granted temporary stay
- it includes a photograph
- the third-country national has been granted temporary stay or issued a stay and work permit in the Republic of Croatia
- the prescribed administrative fee has been paid (700,00 HRK / 93 EUR / 106 USD)
If the above conditions are not fulfilled, long-term visa application shall be considered inadmissible, all documents enclosed shall be returned to the applicant, and the amount of administrative fee paid shall be refunded.
When applying for a long-term visa, the applicant is obliged to submit:
- filled in and personally signed prescribed long-term visa (type D) application form;
- valid travel document with at least two empty pages, issued within the past ten years, with validity at least three months longer than the validity of the granted temporary stay or issued stay and work permit;
- a photograph of identical characteristics to the one submitted with the application for short-term visas;
- proof of granted temporary stay or issued stay and work permit in the Republic of Croatia;
- proof of means of transportation;
- proof of travel health insurance. Travel health insurance to cover the possible expenses related to repatriation, for health reasons, urgent medical assistance and/or urgent hospitalization, with the minimum coverage of EUR 30 000.
