  • Overview

    A visa allows you to stay a maximum of 90 days in any 180-day period in Hungary and is normally valid for the entire Schengen region. The Schengen countries are Austria, Belgium, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Croatia and Switzerland.

    Fees are subject to change without prior notice. If your application meets the initial checks upon submission, it will then be accepted for Visa payments at Visa Application Centre. Payments can be made via Debit/Credit cards only.

    • All the charges are non-refundable, even if the application is refused or withdrawn.
    • Applicants are requested to collect appropriate receipts for all the payments

    All applicants are requested to read the following basic requirements carefully and conform to the same while submitting the application.

    Processing Time:

    Applications can be submitted no more than 6 months before the start of the intended trip.

    The standard processing time is minimum 30 days (starting from the time when the Embassy or the Consulate General received the application) but it can be extended if the supporting documents are not submitted as per the requirements or due to other factors and/or justified reasons.

    Important:

    You will need to complete the Applicant Form first followed by a checklist.

    You cannot submit only the application form and or checklist.

    Review the steps to apply carefully to ensure you submit a completed application set. Incomplete applications will not be accepted.

    Hungary Embassy may require you to submit additional supporting documents after submission of application.

    Travel insurance is mandatory for all Schengen countries. If you have not purchased, you can purchase the same at Visa Centre.

  • Photo Specifications

    The photographs must be:

    • Photograph should be no more than 3 months old
    • 35 mm-40mm in width
    • Close up of your head and top of your shoulders so that your face takes up 70-80% of the photograph.
    • in sharp focus and clear
    • of high quality with no ink marks or creases

    The photographs must:

    • show you looking directly at the camera.
    • show your skin tones naturally.
    • have appropriate brightness and contrast.
    • be printed on high quality paper, and at high resolution.

    Photographs taken with a digital camera must be high quality colour and printed on photo-quality paper.

    Note: Please follow these instructions carefully. If the presented photo does not follow these requirements, your application will be considered incomplete.
