Passport Services
The India Visa and Consular Services Application Centres are the outsourced partner of the Embassy of India in Thailand. In this capacity, the India Visa and Consular Services Application Centre is responsible for receipt of applications for passport services, collection of fees, submission of applications at the Embassy / Consulate of India in Thailand, collecting the processed passports or documents from the Embassy / Consulate of India in Thailand, and returning them back to applicants.
The India Visa and Consular Services Application Centres are managed by VFS Global who is not involved in the process of assessment of visa applications. The assessment of visa applications is carried out by the Embassy / Consulate of India in Thailand and the decision to grant or refuse a visa to India is at their sole discretion. Staff members of VFS Global have no role or influence over the outcome of an application.
Please note for all passport Miscellaneous services like Endorsement of spouse name, deletion of spouse name, change of address, photo change, change of signature and change of Name, for all these services new passport will be issued.

- All applications should be filled in with full details. Incomplete applications would be rejected.
- All applications must be accompanied by photocopies of their current passports.
- All photocopied documents must be self-attested by the applicants. In case of minors below, 18 years, their parents must attest the photocopies.
- Applicants must check all entries in Passport application forms before submission. It is the responsibility of applicant to give correct details, spelling etc.
- Embassy can call any applicant for interview, in case documents are not in order, details are missing, etc
- All applications must be submitted with their Original Work Permit/Tangdeo (Alien Certificate)/Permanent Residence Permit with photocopy. In case of children, their parents Work Permit/Tangdeo (Alien Certificate)/Permanent Residence Permit with photocopy must be submitted.
- Applicants are responsible for details mentioned in application.
- Applicants are liable for legal action if they provide false information.
- All photocopied documents must be self-attested by the applicants. In case of children below, 15 years, their parents must attest the photocopies.
- Photos submitted for all types of passport services must be recent (less than 3 months).
- Applicants must check all entries in Passport application forms before submission. It is the responsibility of applicant to give correct details, spelling etc.
- Embassy can call any applicant for interview, in case documents are not in order, details are missing, etc.
- Fees would not be refunded in case of refusal of services.
IMPORTANT
As part of worldwide implementation of the Passport Seva Project, the Global Passport Seva Program has been rolled out in Thailand. Members of the Indian Community in Thailand are advised to use the new portal https://embassy.passportindia.gov.in for availing the Passport Services with effect from 22 May 2019.
Steps to apply for Passport Services online at https://embassy.passportindia.gov.in :-
Step 1: Click on Thailand-Bangkok, Create USER ID by clicking on Register link
Step 2: Login using the USER ID and fill the application form online
Step 3: Submit the form online
Step 4: Take a print out of the application form
Step 5: Affix your recent coloured photograph (white background with size 2” X 2“) at the designated place
Step 6: Submit the print out of the application along with required documents and prescribed fee at VFS GLOBAL Pvt Ltd, The Trendy Office Building, 8th Floor, Sukhumvit Soi 13, Klongtoey-Nua, Wattana, Bangkok 10110

Copy of Thai Spouse’s National ID card (must be translated and attested by MFA) or Thai passport copy.

Photo Specification
3 photographs ( 3.5cm X 3.5cm in blue background) pasted at the space provided
Photographs should be in colour and strictly as per the specifications below.
- The photograph must be in colour and shouldn’t be more than 3 months old from the time application is submitted.
- It should have a blue background. (Avoid making the back ground too dark or too light)
- It should have a close up of your head and top of your shoulders so that your face takes up 70-80% of the photograph.
- It should be in sharp focus and clean.
- It should be of high quality with no ink marks and creases.
- The photograph must show you looking directly at the camera.
- It should be 3.5 cm X 3.5 cm.
- It should show your skin tone naturally.
- It should have appropriate brightness and contrast.
- The photograph should be a recent one not more than 6 months old.
- It is to be taken without headgear.
- Photograph can be taken with headgear, after consideration on case to case basis if the applicant wears headgear on religious grounds. The main characteristics of the face must be apparent from the photograph. Chin, nose, eyes and eyebrows must not be covered, the forehead should be uncovered to the extent that the shape of the face is apparent.
- It should be without hat/cap.
- The photograph should not have any staple marks.
- Scanned & colour photocopies would NOT be accepted.

- In case of Spouse name not yet endorsed must provide Marriage certificate copy (if married in India), if married in Thailand/elsewhere marriage certificate must be translated into English and attested by MFA Thailand/that particular country’s embassy in Thailand.
- Along with marriage certificate must provide Spouse passport copy as well 1 set.

- For the one who holds a dependent visa on a student visa must attach along the document of the Student Visa holder as well.

- Attach along parent’s passport copy and Work permit/Tangdao. Incase living with a guardian the parents must specify that in the letter as well and attach along a letter from the guardian and the guardian’s documents.
- In case of any change in the address in India must provide proof of change in address.
