Visa Fees

Visa Fees applicable for Airport Transit is:

The only acceptable method of payment for Visa Fees is by Demand Draft in Indian Rupees (INR). Demand Draft should be drawn in favor of “Embassy of Lithuania in New Delhi, Account No.: 409001164658.” and be payable at New Delhi, India.

There is a bank counter available at VFS office to assist applicants prepare their visa fees demand draft with an additional NPR 1250/-

VFS Service charge:

Applicants applying at the Lithuania Visa Application Centre shall be levied a service charge of NPR 5654 (inclusive of VAT @13%) payable in cash.

Documents Required

Documents to be submitted by all applicants for Airport Transit:

1. Completed and signed Schengen visa application form.
2. One recent passport photo 35×45 colorful, white background.
3. A valid travel document - passport (containing at least 2 blank pages, issued within the previous 10 years, its period of validity extending at least three months after the intended date of departure from the territory if the Member States). Non-Indian nationals residing in India shall also present the temporary or permanent residence permit granted to the applicant.
4. Visa or other entry permit for the third country of destination.
5. Documents in relation to the onward journey to the final destination after the intended airport transit.
6. Valid health insurance (from approved list of Indian travel insurance companies), covering the duration of stay in Schengen area (in case of multi-entry visas – for the first trip). The minimum amount of medical insurance coverage – EUR 30 000.
7. Number of invitation letter for the alien to temporarily stay in the Republic of Lithuania electronically submitted through MIGRIS (https://www.migracija.lt/en) or the documents confirming the purpose and conditions of the planned visit to the Republic of Lithuania (hotel booking, tour itinerary etc.).
8. Proof of means of transport. Flight reservation of return or round ticket. If the applicant is travelling to several Schengen States, proof of intra-Schengen flight reservation, train itinerary or car rental.
9. Proof of lodging. Hotel reservations, rental of holiday home or campus residence reservation. If the applicant intends to stay with a family member or a friend, proof of sponsorship and/or private accommodation from the host. If applicant is travelling to several Schengen States, proof of lodging in each of them.
10. Proof of financial means
    • Original private bank statement showing movements in the last three months, duly stamped and signed by the bank;
    • Indian income tax return acknowledgment for the last two assessment years;
11. To obtain a multiple-entry short-stay visa, a foreign national must submit documents substantiating of the necessity for such visa to or documents substantiating the circumstances entitling him to a multiple-entry short-stay visa.

• It should have a close up of your head and top of your shoulders so that your face takes up 70-80% of the photograph. ]
• It should be in sharp focus and clean.
• It should be of high quality with no ink marks and creases.
• The photograph must show you looking directly at the camera.
• It should be 3.5 cm X 4.5 cm.
• It should show your skin tone naturally.
• It should have appropriate brightness and contrast.
• The photograph should be a recent one not more than 6 months old.
• It is to be taken without headgear.
• Photograph can be taken with headgear, after consideration on case to case basis if the applicant wears headgear on religious grounds. The main characteristics of the face must be apparent from the photograph. Chin, nose, eyes and eyebrows must not be covered; the forehead should be uncovered to the extent that the shape of the face is apparent.
• It should be without hat/cap.
• It should be without the applicant's hair tucked behind his/her ears.
• The photograph should not have any staple marks.
• Scanned and colour photocopies would NOT be accepted.

Processing Time

Please apply at least 3 weeks in advance and note that visa processing takes up to 14 working days if additional consultation is not required. Please note that applications submitted to other VFS-offices than New Delhi will take another two days due to postal delivery.

Overview

7. Applicant's employer’s financial documents or additional documents proving the company’s activities, purpose and conditions of the visit (might be required);

  • If the minor travels alone (without parents), written consent, certified by public notary, of both parents or guardians having custody or guardianship of the minor;
  • Copies of the passport of the parents. If not applicable, birth certificate of the applicant and copies of the ID cards of the parents.

7. Invitation from the shipping company/ maritime agency in Lithuania where the seafarer will join the boat. The invitation must be signed and bear the stamp of the company/agency and include the following data:
   
   • name and family name of the seafarer
   • place and date of birth, passport number, seafarer's book number
   • date of issue, period of validity of passport and the seafarer’s book
   • the seafarer's position on the vessel (if there are several seafarers, their information can be included in a list, signed and stamped, and annexed to the invitation letter)
   • name and flag of the boat
   • port and date of boarding and disembarking
   • itinerary that the seafarer will follow to arrive in Lithuania/ transit (including date and entry point (airport) to the Schengen area).
8. In the letter of invitation, the shipping company/maritime agency based in Lithuania should indicate the name and address of the Indian agency it is collaborating with and will be responsible for submitting the visa applications
9. The shipping company/maritime agency based in Lithuania is also required to indicate that it will bear all responsibility for the seafarer upon his/her arrival in Lithuania (including in the event of repatriation) and ensure that he/ she boards the ship.

    • port and date of boarding and disembarking

    • itinerary that the seafarer will follow to arrive in Lithuania/ transit (including date and entry point (airport) to the Schengen area).

      In the letter of invitation, the shipping company/maritime agency based in Lithuania should indicate the name and address of the Indian agency it is collaborating with and will be responsible for submitting the visa applications.

      The shipping company/maritime agency based in Lithuania is also required to indicate that it will bear all responsibility for the seafarer upon his/her arrival in Lithuania (including in the event of repatriation) and ensure that he/ she boards the ship.

The only acceptable method of payment for Visa Fees is by Demand Draft in Indian Rupees (INR). Demand Draft should be drawn in favor of “Embassy of Lithuania in New Delhi, Account No.: 409001164658.” and be payable at New Delhi, India.

VFS Service charge:

Applicants applying at the Lithuania Visa Application Centre shall be levied a service charge of NPR 5654 (inclusive of VAT @13%) payable in cash.

3. A valid travel document - passport (containing at least 2 blank pages, issued within the previous 10 years, its period of validity extending at least three months after the intended date of departure from the territory if the Member States).
4. Mediation letter electronically submitted through MIGRIS https://www.migracija.lt/en by the employer (the Visa Office must be provided with the mediation application number).
5. Employment contract signed with a company registered in the Republic of Lithuania or employer’s obligation to employ the alien, which specifies: workplace, work function, wage, scheduled beginning of work.
6. Documents confirming the qualification of the foreigner (legalized).
7. Documentary evidence of work experience.
8. Proof of financial means to live in the Republic of Lithuania (a contract of employment or a statement from a bank account, sufficient means of subsistence equal to 1 minimum monthly wage per month) and to return to the country of his or her origin or a foreign country to which the alien has the right to depart sufficient amount of funds required to return equals to 1 minimum monthly wage)
