Visa Types
If you are planning a short visit to Lithuania and you do not have Lithuanian nationality, you may need to apply for a Schengen visa. Lithuania is one of the 26 European countries forming the Schengen Area which have no border controls between them. These countries also issue a common visa, the Schengen visa.

Applicants applying at the Lithuania Visa Application Centre shall be levied a service charge of NPR 5654 (inclusive of VAT @13%) payable in cash.

Documents Required
Documents to be submitted by all applicants for Airport Transit:
- Completed and signed Schengen visa application form.
- One recent passport photo 35×45 colorful, white background.
- A valid travel document - passport (containing at least 2 blank pages, issued within the previous 10 years, its period of validity extending at least three months after the intended date of departure from the territory if the Member States). Non-Indian nationals residing in India shall also present the temporary or permanent residence permit granted to the applicant.
- Visa or other entry permit for the third country of destination.
- Documents in relation to the onward journey to the final destination after the intended airport transit.
- Valid health insurance (from approved list of Indian travel insurance companies), covering the duration of stay in Schengen area (in case of multi-entry visas – for the first trip). The minimum amount of medical insurance coverage – EUR 30 000.
- Number of invitation letter for the alien to temporarily stay in the Republic of Lithuania electronically submitted through MIGRIS (https://www.migracija.lt/en) or the documents confirming the purpose and conditions of the planned visit to the Republic of Lithuania (hotel booking, tour itinerary etc.).
- Proof of means of transport. Flight reservation of return or round ticket. If the applicant is travelling to several Schengen States, proof of intra-Schengen flight reservation, train itinerary or car rental.
- Proof of lodging. Hotel reservations, rental of holiday home or campus residence reservation. If the applicant intends to stay with a family member or a friend, proof of sponsorship and/or private accommodation from the host. If applicant is travelling to several Schengen States, proof of lodging in each of them.
- Proof of financial means
- Original private bank statement showing movements in the last three months, duly stamped and signed by the bank;
- Indian income tax return acknowledgment for the last two assessment years;
- To obtain a multiple-entry short-stay visa, a foreign national must submit documents substantiating of the necessity for such visa to or documents substantiating the circumstances entitling him to a multiple-entry short-stay visa.

- The photograph must be in colour.
- It should have a white background.
- It should have a close up of your head and top of your shoulders so that your face takes up 70-80% of the photograph. ]
- It should be in sharp focus and clean.
- It should be of high quality with no ink marks and creases.
- The photograph must show you looking directly at the camera.
- It should be 3.5 cm X 4.5 cm.
- It should show your skin tone naturally.
- It should have appropriate brightness and contrast.
- The photograph should be a recent one not more than 6 months old.
- It is to be taken without headgear.
- Photograph can be taken with headgear, after consideration on case to case basis if the applicant wears headgear on religious grounds. The main characteristics of the face must be apparent from the photograph. Chin, nose, eyes and eyebrows must not be covered; the forehead should be uncovered to the extent that the shape of the face is apparent.
- It should be without hat/cap.
- It should be without the applicant's hair tucked behind his/her ears.
- The photograph should not have any staple marks.
- Scanned and colour photocopies would NOT be accepted.

Non-Indian nationals visiting India may submit application if in their country of residence and/or nationality no Lithuanian Embassy is present, they shall also present visa/permit to be legally in India.
- Invitation from the inviting company or organization
- Cover letter from the applicant's employer
- Invitation and cover letter must confirm, as a minimum:
- the applicant's identity;
- the purpose of the journey (meetings, conferences, training or business related events); and the period and place of intended stay

- Applicant's employer’s in India/other country registration certificate;
- Applicant's employer’s financial documents or additional documents proving the company’s activities, purpose and conditions of the visit (might be required);

- Proof of financial means to live in the Republic of Lithuania (sufficient means of subsistence equal to 0.5 of the minimum monthly wage per month) and to return to the country of his or her origin or a foreign country to which the alien has the right to depart (sufficient amount of funds required to return equals to 1 minimum monthly)

Overview
A national visa for a single entry (D) shall be issued to an alien, who has been granted a permit of temporary or permanent residence in the Republic of Lithuania by the Migration Department under the Ministry of the Interior.
A national visa for multiple entries (D) shall be issued if alien submits the documents proving that he/she intends to enter the Republic of Lithuania periodically and while his/her main place of residence is in a foreign state and there is no requirement for an alien to get a temporary residence permit in the Republic of Lithuania.

Applicants applying at the Lithuania Visa Application Centre shall be levied a service charge of NPR 5654 (inclusive of VAT @13%) payable in cash.

Documents to be submitted by applicants for National visa (work permit):
- Completed and signed National visa application form. (https://visa.vrm.lt/epm).
- One recent passport photo 35×45 colorful, white background.
- A valid travel document - passport (containing at least 2 blank pages, issued within the previous 10 years, its period of validity extending at least three months after the intended date of departure from the territory if the Member States).
- Mediation letter electronically submitted through MIGRIS https://www.migracija.lt/en by the employer (the Visa Office must be provided with the mediation application number).
- Proof of financial means to live in the Republic of Lithuania (a contract of employment or a statement from a bank account, sufficient means of subsistence equal to 0.5 of the minimum monthly wage per month - 277 EUR) and to return to the country of his or her origin or a foreign country to which the alien has the right to depart sufficient amount of funds required to return equals to 1 minimum monthly wage – 555 EUR)
- Work permit issued by the Employment Services of the Republic of Lithuania
- Documentary evidence of work experience.
- Documents, proving professional skills (legalized).
- Valid health insurance (from approved list of Indian travel insurance companies), covering the duration of stay. It must be valid in all participant states of the Schengen Area. The minimum amount of medical insurance coverage – EUR 30 000.
- A confirmed Air ticket reservation.

- It should be of high quality with no ink marks and creases.

- It should be 3.5 cm X 4.5 cm.
- It should show your skin tone naturally.
- It should have appropriate brightness and contrast.
- The photograph should be a recent one not more than 6 months old.
- It is to be taken without headgear.
- Photograph can be taken with headgear, after consideration on case to case basis if the applicant wears headgear on religious grounds. The main characteristics of the face must be apparent from the photograph.
