Overview
An intended stay in the territory of the Schengen States can be of a duration of no more than 90 days in any 180 days period ("short stay visa").
Personal Data Protection Information
VFS Global processes personal data on behalf of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Slovenia and is bound by standard contractual clauses (Commission Decision 2010/87/EU) to provide the same standard of personal data protection as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Slovenia under the General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679).
Personal data is processed for the purpose of visa applications in administrative procedures conducted by a competent embassy or consulate-general of the Republic of Slovenia.
Your personal data, including photograph and fingerprints, where applicable, are mandatory elements of a visa application. If you decide not to submit the requested personal data, your application may be deemed inadmissible or may be rejected.
The legal basis for processing personal data is provided by Regulation (EC) No 810/2009 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 13 July 2009 establishing a Community Code on Visas (Visa Code) and Regulation (EC) No 767/2008 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 9 July 2008 concerning the Visa Information System (VIS) and the exchange of data between Member States on short-stay visas (VIS Regulation).
You have the right to request from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Slovenia access to, and the rectification or erasure of, personal data or a restriction on the processing of data concerning you, or to object to such processing, including the right to data portability, pursuant to Articles 15 through 20 of the General Data Protection Regulation.
You have the right to lodge a complaint concerning the processing of personal data with the Information Commissioner of the Republic of Slovenia, located at Dunajska cesta 22, 1000 Ljubljana, Slovenia.
The above information does not apply to personal data processed by VFS Global concerning the payment of consular and service fees or to personal data processed by VFS Global in relation to additional commercial services.

Visa and Service Fees
Important info: Please be informed 500 euro bills will not be accepted.
The visa fee is charged when the application is submitted. If you withdraw the application or if a visa is refused, the fee will not be reimbursed.
General visa fees:
EUR 90 (other third country nationals).
Children between 6 -12 years EUR 45.
EUR 35 (In accordance with Visa Facilitation Agreements, citizens of Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, BIH, Georgia, North Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Serbia, Belarus and Ukraine qualify for this lower visa fee.);
Applicants belonging to one of the following categories are exempt from visa fees:
- Children under six years;
- School pupils, students, postgraduate students and accompanying teachers travelling for the purposes of study or educational training;
- Researchers from third countries travelling for the purpose of scientific research as defined in Recommendation No 2005/761/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 28 September 2005 to facilitate the issue of uniform short-stay visas of researchers;
- Representatives of non-profit organisations aged 25 years or less participating in seminars, conferences, sports, cultural or educational events organised by non-profit organisations;
- Holders of diplomatic and service passports;
- Family members of EU or Swiss citizens covered by Directive 2004/38/EC.
For researchers from third countries traveling within the EU for the purpose of carrying out scientific research.

- There is a service charge of 26.60 EURO (Inclusive of 20% VAT) levied per application over and above the visa fees
- The Visa Fee, VFS service charge, VIP premium service has to be paid in in Euro only in cash and Photocopy Service, Photograph Service, Courier Service you have opted has to be paid in Turkish Lira only in cash.

Travel Medical Insurance: Applicants (including children) for a short-stay visa (C Type) must have travel medical insurance to cover any expenses that might arise in connection with repatriation for medical reasons, urgent medical attention and/or emergency hospital treatment or death during their stay(s) in the territory of the Schengen countries. The insurance must be valid throughout the territory of the Schengen countries and cover the entire period of the person’s intended stay or transit. The minimum coverage is EUR 30,000. Applicants for a uniform visa for multiple entries must have valid travel medical insurance covering the period of their first intended visit. In addition, such applicants must sign the statement in the application form declaring that they are aware of the need to have travel medical insurance for subsequent stays. Family members of EU citizens are exempt from the requirement to have travel medical insurance.
Passport or other travel document: with a validity exceeding at least 3 months after your scheduled return, issued within the last 10 years and must contain at least 2 blank pages. Copies of the pages with visas for the last 3 years and pages with personal information.
Visa Application Form: Completed and personally signed. If the applicant is a minor, signature(s) of the legal guardian(s) is required.
One recent photograph: Not older than 3 months, 3,5 cm x 4,5 cm in color, preferably biometric and with white background.
Visa Fee: Children between 0-12 years old will not be charged.
Flight reservation: Reservation for return flight or supporting documents for other means of travel. (Vehicle registration, driving license, car insurance).
Hotel Reservation: Confirmed hotel reservation valid for entire stay. The dates of the hotel reservation should correspond to your flight reservation. If other Schengen countries are to be visited, please add travel programme.
Travel programme: If other Schengen countries are to be visited, information about entrance to Schengen countries and detailed information of entire trip
For minor applicants: Recent and written parental consent in original from the parent(s) who doesn’t accompany the child, verified by a Notary Public in Turkey, submitted with copy of parent(s) ID. This condition does not apply if the travelling parent or legal guardian holds the parental authority alone.
If applicant is employed: Letter of employer and approval for leave, on official paper, bearing the seal of the workplace, indication the address and contact telephone number, position and salary rate. SGK (social security) registration document and SGK ‘hizmet dökümü’ with QR Code /payment of premium , Tax registration certificate, copy of the bulletin of the trade register, copy of the company registration in the chamber of commerce and list of authorized signatures.
Pay slip: of the last 3 months. (must be signed and stamped by your employer )
If applicant is employed by or owner of a private company: Tax registration certificate, copy of the bulletin of the trade register, copy of the company registration in the chamber of commerce and list of authorized signatures./BAGKUR
If the applicant is a civil servant: Letter of the office you work for. (must be signed and stamped by your employer )
If the applicant is a farmer: Farmer certificate issued by the Chamber of Agriculture, proof of grown products/land.
If the applicant is retired: Proof of pension (either bank account or pensioner booklet).
If the applicant is a student: Student certificate (öğrenci belgesi). Students with compulsory attendance at school should provide permission for leave outside the holidays.
If the applicant is unemployed: Documents of the person who financially provides for you. If the trip is sponsored by a third person, you may provide financial documents of the sponsor.
Documents supporting financial status: Evidence of how applicant intends to finance his/her trip and support himself/herself for the duration of the visit – a detailed , signed and stamped bank statement showing sufficient funds to cover all costs, or financial documents of sponsor.
Residence permit for foreigners: Copy of Turkish residence permit for non-Turkish applicants.
Please note: Providing a complete file with all documents as specified above will increase the chance of receiving a response without delay. Please be informed that this is not an exhaustive list, the provision of all the documents listed above in no way guarantees that a visa will be granted. The Slovenia Embassy in Ankara has the right to ask for any other additional documents it considers necessary. There is no option to request submitted documents to be returned please provide copies of all original documents which you would like to get back.

Photo Specifications
1 Photograph submitted with the application for a visa should comply with the following specifications:
- Must be an up-to-date photograph (dated max 3 month old)
- Must be a color photograph printed on normal photographic paper
- Should be sized between 3,5 cm x 4,5 cm
- Full face taken straight forward 30 mm from point of the chin to top of hair
- Taken against a white background
- Without sunglasses
- Without hat or other head covering unless you wear this for religious reasons
- Spectacles should not have toned or reflecting glasses
- The frame of the spectacles may not cover the eyes

Please note that the Visa application Centre may not accept photographs that do not meet these specifications. In case photos are not meeting the requirements mentioned above Submission Officer might ask to provide updated / recent photos.

Fingerprint specifications
Fingerprints are collected from all applicants, except for the following: children up to 12 years of age, applicants who have submitted fingerprints in the last five years (59 months) for a short-stay visa (C Type), applicants for whom fingerprinting is physically impossible, heads of state and government and their delegations if invited for an official visit, and members of royal families if invited for an official visit.

Processing Time
If all required documentation is in order, short term Visa Applications are usually processed within 15 working days, excluding day of submission at Visa Application Centre, and number of days required for transportation of documents to Ankara accordingly.

Visa and Service Fees

The visa fee is charged when the application is submitted. If you withdraw the application or if a visa is refused, the fee will not be reimbursed.
General visa fees:
EUR 90 (other third country nationals).
Children between 6 -12 years EUR 45.
EUR 35 (In accordance with Visa Facilitation Agreements, citizens of Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, BIH, Georgia, North Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Serbia, Belarus and Ukraine qualify for this lower visa fee.);
Applicants belonging to one of the following categories are exempt from visa fees:
- Children under six years;
- School pupils, students, postgraduate students and accompanying teachers travelling for the purposes of study or educational training;
- Researchers from third countries travelling for the purpose of scientific research as defined in Recommendation No 2005/761/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 28 September 2005 to facilitate the issue of uniform short-stay visas of researchers;
- Representatives of non-profit organisations aged 25 years or less participating in seminars, conferences, sports, cultural or educational events organised by non-profit organisations;
- Holders of diplomatic and service passports;
- Family members of EU or Swiss citizens covered by Directive 2004/38/EC.
For researchers from third countries traveling within the EU for the purpose of carrying out scientific research.

Travel Medical Insurance: Applicants (including children) for a short-stay visa (C Type) must have travel medical insurance to cover any expenses that might arise in connection with repatriation for medical reasons, urgent medical attention and/or emergency hospital treatment or death during their stay(s) in the territory of the Schengen countries. The insurance must be valid throughout the territory of the Schengen countries and cover the entire period of the person’s intended stay or transit. The minimum coverage is EUR 30,000. Applicants for a uniform visa for multiple entries must have valid travel medical insurance covering the period of their first intended visit. In addition, such applicants must sign the statement in the application form declaring that they are aware of the need to have travel medical insurance for subsequent stays. Family members of EU citizens are exempt from the requirement to have travel medical insurance.
Passport or other travel document: with a validity exceeding at least 3 months after your scheduled return, issued within the last 10 years and must contain at least 2 blank pages. Copies of the pages with visas for the last 3 years and pages with personal information.
Visa Application Form: Completed and personally signed. If the applicant is a minor, signature(s) of the legal guardian(s) is required.
One recent photograph: Not older than 3 months, 3,5 cm x 4,5 cm in color, preferably biometric and with white background.
Visa Fee: Children between 0-12 years old will not be charged.
Flight reservation: Reservation for return flight or supporting documents for other means of travel. (Vehicle registration, driving license, car insurance).
Invitation from Slovenian company: Guarantee letter or invitation letter to be filled out and signature authenticated at the nearest administrative unit.
Proof of existence of family relations (Tam Tekmil Vukuatlı Nüfus Kayıt Örneği)
Travel programme: If other Schengen countries are to be visited, information about entrance to Schengen countries and detailed information of entire trip
For minor applicants: Recent and written parental consent in original from the parent(s) who doesn’t accompany the child, verified by a Notary Public in Turkey, submitted with copy of parent(s) ID. This condition does not apply if the travelling parent or legal guardian holds the parental authority alone.
If applicant is employed: Letter of employer and approval for leave, on official paper, bearing the seal of the workplace, indication the address and contact telephone number, position and salary rate. SGK (social security) registration document and SGK ‘hizmet dökümü’ with QR Code /payment of premium , Tax registration certificate, copy of the bulletin of the trade register, copy of the company registration in the chamber of commerce and list of authorized signatures.
Pay slip: of the last 3 months. (must be signed and stamped by your employer )
If applicant is employed by or owner of a private company: Tax registration certificate, copy of the bulletin of the trade register, copy of the company registration in the chamber of commerce and list of authorized signatures./BAGKUR
If the applicant is a civil servant: Letter of the office you work for. ( must be signed and stamped by your employer )
If the applicant is a farmer: Farmer certificate issued by the Chamber of Agriculture, proof of grown products/land.
If the applicant is retired: Proof of pension (either bank account or pensioner booklet).
If the applicant is a student: Student certificate (öğrenci belgesi). Students with compulsory attendance at school should provide permission for leave outside the holidays.
If the applicant is unemployed: Documents of the person who financially provides for you. If the trip is sponsored by a third person, you may provide financial documents of the sponsor.
Documents supporting financial status: Evidence of how applicant intends to finance his/her trip and support himself/herself for the duration of the visit – a detailed , signed and stamped bank statement showing sufficient funds to cover all costs, or financial documents of sponsor.
Residence permit for foreigners: Copy of Turkish residence permit for non-Turkish applicants.
Please note: Providing a complete file with all documents as specified above will increase the chance of receiving a response without delay. Please be informed that this is not an exhaustive list, the provision of all the documents listed above in no way guarantees that a visa will be granted. The Slovenian Embassy in Ankara has the right to ask for any other additional documents if it’s considered to be necessary. Residence Permits
The Aliens Act stipulates that aliens who wish to stay in the Republic of Slovenia for a longer period of time which is possible on the basis of a visa, or who wish to enter and stay in the Republic of Slovenia for reasons other than those possible on the basis of a visa, must have a residence permit.
A residence permit is a permit to enter and reside in the Republic of Slovenia for a definite period of time and for a specific purpose, or to reside in the country for an indefinite period of time.
The application for a temporary residence permit is submitted to the diplomatic-consular mission of the Republic of Slovenia abroad or to the competent authority of the Republic of Slovenia if the law provides so.
