Visa Fees
The fee for the visa is due at the time the application is submitted and is not refundable. If you withdraw the application or it is rejected the fee will not be reimbursed.
The Swiss representation reserves the right to adapt the amounts of the fees at any time in relation with exchange rate fluctuations.

- Short stay for children under six years of age
The visa fee for nationals from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Georgia, Serbia, Ukraine and Moldova is CNY 270 (Euro 35).
Please note that satisfactory proof must be submitted to establish if one of the above exemptions applies.
The service fee applies for each applicant (children and adults). Applicants shall pay a service fee (inclusive of tax) of CNY 190 (Euro 24.07).

The Swiss representation may request you to provide additional documents or information, according to your situation, even after you have submitted your application at Visa Application Centre. Please be aware that submitting a completed application does not guarantee the issuance of a visa.
In addition to the materials listed below, please bring one additional copy of your passport for passport return.

- The visa application form must be filled out in English or a Swiss national language and signed by the applicant. The application must show the same signature as in the passport. - Insurance should contain the insured person’s name in pinyin (same as in passport).
- The travel dates in flight reservation, accommodation, and visa application form should match and the insurance must cover at least this period.
- Employment certificate (or school certificate) must be in English or Chinese with translation into English or a Swiss national language. Original must be stamped and signed by your company or school.
- Copy of Business License must be stamped by your company (or school).
- For minors, all original notary certificates must be legalized by MFA.
- Applicant should provide copies of the whole Hukou including all information pages.
- If you choose to submit your application by a representative when your biometric data are available or you are a minor, a letter of authorization signed by the applicant or legal guardians for the minor applicant for visa application and the representative ID card or passport (original + copy) are required.
According to the Personal Information Protection Law of the People’s Republic of China and other applicable laws and regulations to protect your personal information, VFS Global must obtain the consent from you for the processing of your personal data and proceed with your visa application. Travel Medical Insurance
The insurance should be valid for the whole Schengen area and cover the whole period of your stay within the Schengen area.

Notes:
- The insurance policy should clearly indicate its validity for the whole Schengen area. The insurance covering Switzerland only is not compliant.
- If the travel insurance policy doesn’t indicate Schengen area and the zones covered by the insurance are shown in clauses, please also provide the photocopies of insurance clauses (English, German, French, Italian or Romansh translation required if the policy is in Chinese).
- Insurance period: The insurance should cover the departure and return dates matching air ticket booking document, from the arrival day in the first Schengen country till the departure day leaving the last Schengen country.

The insurance must have a minimum coverage of 30.000 Euro (around 300.000 RMB) including medical fees and repatriation costs.

If your organization has successfully registered with the Swiss embassy or consulate in your jurisdiction, according to the current policy of the embassy or consulate, employees of Red-White Carpet Company holding a dispatch letter issued by the company and other materials required by the embassy or consulate can go to the visa application center for processing during its business hours without an appointment.

Visa Application Centers do not process any stay of more than 90 days, including short-stay working visa less than 90 days as this visa type belongs to the national visa category.
The visa applications should be lodged directly at the Embassy/Consulate General by your place of residence. Please check the jurisdiction section to know your consular area. You can then proceed to register and schedule an appointment on the website of the Visa Application Center.
