Temporary-Stay

This visa type is required for the travelers who plan to visit Portugal with work, study, medical treatment and other purposes if their travel requires that they have to be in Portugal for the period more than 90 days out of 180 but less than 1 year.

VFS Service Charge

Applicants applying at the Portuguese Visa Application Centre shall be levied a service charge of Euro 26.

Above charges are inclusive of VAT.

Logistic fee: applicants applying in regions (except Moscow) should pay 450 RUB per passport to be delivered to the Embassy.

The applicable visa fee in Rubles is as per the current exchange rate provided by the Consulate. The same is subject to change without notice.

3. Passport or other travel document, valid for an additional 3 months following the duration of the intended stay;
4. Two identical passport photographs, up-to-date and in good condition, allowing proper identification;
5. Transport document (return ticket);
6. Document certifying the third-country national is in a regular situation when the applicant is from a different nationality than that of the country where the visa is being requested;
7. Valid travel insurance covering necessary medical expenses, including emergency assistance and repatriation;
8. Form authorizing access to Portuguese criminal record by the Immigration and Border Services (SEF);
9. Criminal record from country of origin or country of residency for over one year (minors under 16 years of age are exempt from producing any criminal record related document);
10. Proof of means of subsistence, as stipulated by law;
11. Proof of subsistence means can be made through a statement of responsibility, signed by a Portuguese national or by a foreign national legally resident in Portugal.

Kindly note that all of the documents, which are originally in Russian language, must be presented with notarized translation to English or Portuguese and must be legalized by an Apostille.

1. Photo should be no more than 6 months old.
2. 35-45 mm width.
3. Face should take up 70-80 % of the whole photo.
4. Photo should be in sharp focus and clear, bright and contrast.
5. There should not be any ink markers or creases.
6. Photo should be printed in colors on a high quality paper at a high resolution.
7. The background should be white.

You should look directly at the camera. Face should be open with no hair around it. Eyes should be open, mouth closed. There should not be shadows on the face or red eyes because of the light.

Head coverings are not permitted except the religious one. Please avoid heavy framed of glasses.

Visa applications should be submitted in advance to ensure time for competent authorities to make a decision.

The deadline to decide on a temporary stay visa application is 30 days.

The visa application form has to be completed for all the applicants including minors electronically on your computer. The Visa Application Form has to be filled out in Portuguese language only. The form needs to be signed personally by the applicant

For minors, the application must be signed by both the parents or a legal guardian.
