Please arrange your application documents as per the list provided under short term visa . Also, remember to bring two photocopies of your passport and tender exact change as well.
Schengen Visa
Schengen visa have to be obtained from the Embassy or consulate of the country where the main purpose of travel lies. Therefore, please check your travel plans before making your application to the Embassy of Republic of Slovenia. In case of travel to multiple Schengen countries, please make your application to the Embassy or the consulate where you will be staying for the maximum number of days, or from the point of first entry into the Schengen countries, if the duration of stay is the same in more than one Schengen country.
The applicants fulfilling the below mentioned criteria need not appear for the personal interview at the Embassy of Republic of Slovenia
- All those who have travelled on at least two Schengen visas within the last 24 months prior to the date of application.
- Applicants holding a previous visa with a validity of one, two or five years and have travelled on this visa within the last 24 months according to the Schengen regulations (max. stay in the Schengen area of 90 days per 6 months) prior to the date of application.
Submission Process
All the travelers may submit their application personally or through a representative/ Travel Agent of their choice with letter of authorization from the applicant notarized by a public Notary bearing the name of the representative at the VFS Application Centre.
- It is mandatory for the representative to carry a valid photo ID proof at the time of submission and collection.
- An airport transit visa (A) allows you to transit through the international zone of Schengen airport without entering the Schengen territory.
- A transit visa (B) allows you to transit no more than 5 days through Schengen countries by car, coach or travelling through different airports on your way to another non-Schengen country.
- A short stay visa (C) allows you to visit Schengen countries for tourism, family or business visits, up to a maximum of 90 days in given period of 180 days period.
- A Long stay visa (D) allows you to stay for more than 3 months e.g Study, work etc.
