Overview

For applicants applying in Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Goa, Bangalore, Chennai, Cochin, Trivandrum, and Puducherry.

  1. Applicants should submit their passports along with the hardcopies of the documents and 2 biometric photos as per specification
  2. VFS will accept applications as per the document checklists provided by Turkey Consulate, Mumbai. Documents will be arranged as per the order given in the checklist. Incomplete applications will not be accepted.
  3. If an application is rejected, the applicant cannot reapply for 06 months
  4. Applicant can apply maximum 60 days in advance for Turkey Visa.

For applicants applying in New Delhi, Chandigarh, Jaipur, Jalandhar, Gurgaon, Kolkata and Kathmandu

  1. Applicants should submit their passports along with the hardcopies of the documents and 2 biometric photos as per specification
  2. VFS will accept applications as per the document checklists provided by the Embassy of Turkey, New Delhi. Documents will be arranged as per the order given in the checklist.
  3. Minimum Processing time is 15 working days from the date of submission at Turkish Embassy.
  4. For Work Permit cases minimum processing time is 25 working days.
  5. If an application is rejected, the applicant cannot reapply for 15 days from date of refusal.

For applicants applying in Hyderabad

  1. Applicants should submit their passports along with the hardcopies of the documents and 2 biometric photos as per specification
  2. VFS will accept applications as per the document checklists provided by the Consulate General of the Republic of Turkey, Hyderabad . Documents will be arranged as per the order given in the checklist.
  3. Minimum Processing time is 3 working days from the date of submission at Turkish Embassy.
  4. For Work Permit cases minimum processing time is 25 working days.
  5. If an application is rejected, the applicant cannot reapply for 01 Month from date of refusal.
  6. Jurisdiction: Consulate General of Turkey in Hyderabad: Andhra Pradesh, Telengana, Orissa and Chhattisgarh.
  7. If an applicant wants to submit an application with urgent travel dates VFS can accept it, however the discretion to grant or refuse the visa application is completely at the discretion of the Turkey Consulate.

Documents Required

Jurisdiction for applicants applying from Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chennai, Cochin, Trivandrum, Pondicherry and Goa comprising the states of: Maharashtra, Goa, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh.

  1. Original Passport (Passport must be valid for at least 6 months upon arrival in Turkey and should have at -least 2 full blank pages available in it). Also provide 2 photo copies of Passport first and last page.

    Note:

    • Passports which are not issued in jurisdiction for applicants applying under the jurisdiction of Consulate General of Turkey Mumbai need to be submitted with local address proof which consists of Valid Lease and Licence copy, Purchase/ Sales agreement. (All the documents must be notarized)
    • Aadhar Card, Electricity Bill can also be submitted with Notary and Mantralaya.
  2. Visa application form filled with 2 white background having size 2.5inch x 2.5inch
  3. Online form filling format for sticker visa

    • Online form needs to be filled in CAPITAL LETTERS only for all categories.
    • For all categories - Mother and Father name needs to be mention in online form.
    • For Tourist & Business - No of Travel days should be 02 days extra from the date of departure in Turkey.
    • For all categories - In case of no surname then two dots without space (..) needs to be mention in field Surname.
    • For work permit applications -"NAME OF HOST PERSON OR HOST COMPANY" should be "HOST COMPANY NAME" mentioned on the contract copy.
    • For work permit applications - No of Days to be mention is 90 days from date of travel and will be single entry visa only.
  4. Passport must be valid for at least 6 months upon arrival in Turkey and have 2 full blank pages available
  5. Covering letter from the applicant with all details about which university being attended, dates of planned departure, reason for studies and which studies being pursued, passport number, name and address of applicant.
  6. Acceptance letter from the University which the applicant is going to attend.
  7. Last qualification achieved certificate along with the copies.
  8. If the applicant is a minor i.e. below 18 years of age they need a consent letter signed by Parents along with their ID proofs.

    Note: Consent letter should be on 100Rs.Stamp Paper and should be notarised.

  9. Last 3 months personal bank statement of the Parents along with a sponsorship letter from the Parents if Parents are funding the education of the applicant.
  10. Confirmed one way ticket.
  11. 2 photo copies of Passport first and last page.
  12. Student ID’s photocopy.
  13. Travel Insurance is mandatory requirement which should fulfil the below requirements. Students need to submit insurance which is valid for 90 days from date of arrival in Turkey.

    • Medical Evacuation and repatriation expenses
    • Personal accidental death
    • Personal liability
    • Daily allowance in hospitalization cases
    • This plan should cover the insured for a minimum of Euro 30000.

Note:

In case the Student is going through any Indian University to Turkey University then original covering letter from Indian University is required.

In case the student has applied directly to University in Turkey then he/she has to submit personal covering letter mentioning the same in detail.

Documents for Study visa under New Delhi and Jurisdiction:

  1. Manually filled visa application form by blue or black pen in capital letters with 1 photograph affixed to it, signed by the applicant.
  2. The original passport should be issued less than 10 years with a minimum validity of 6 months beyond the intended duration of stay in Turkish territory and with at least two full blank pages.
  3. 2 biometric photos with a white background that were taken within the last 6 months, depicting the full face including ears and all hair, clearly and completely visible without shadow, in 2.5inch x 2.5inch size.
  4. Covering letter from the applicant with all details about which university/institution/AIESEC/Course being attended, dates of planned departure, reason for studies and which studies being pursued, passport number, name and address of applicant.
  5. Travel insurance (insurance should cover at least first 4 months duration in Turkey)
  6. Reservation one way ticket
  7. In the case of an invitation from University/Institution:
    • Acceptance letter from the University which the applicant is going to register.
    • Tuition fee payment receipt original or copy attested by the bank.
  8. In the case of an invitation from AIESEC/IAESTE/ERASMUS
    • Invitation letter from AIESEC/IAESTE/ERASMUS in Turkey specified the full name and passport number of the applicant
    • Acceptance note from AIESEC/IAESTE/ERASMUS
    • Request letter from AIESEC/IAESTE/ERASMUS branch in India with all details about which program being attended, dates of planned departure, passport number, name and adress of applicant.
    • Two references names, contact information must be written on visa application form.
  9. In the case of an invitation from a Language Course:
    • Organization (tn) acceptance/Enrollment letter signed by the applicant stating two reference people with all their contact information and ID copies from the Language Course/School which the applicant is going to attend.
    • Two references names, contact information must be written on visa application form.
    • If the applicant have relatives or references in Turkey; a letter from these relatives guaranteeing expenses and return back.
  10. Police Clearance Certificate (PCC) is a mandatory document (It can be issued from Local Police Station or Passport Office)
    1. Last 3 months personal bank statement of the parents along with a sponsorship letter (notarized) from the parents if parents are funding the education fo the student.
    2. Last 3 months personal bank statement of the researcher
  11. Minors need consent letter from both parents in all cases (even though minor is travelling with both parents). The consent NOC must be on stamp paper with photos of parents and applicant and notarized.
  12. Notarized copies of all graduation certificates starting from primary school and up for student
  13. If Agent is making the application on behalf of the applicant, letter of attorney from every applicant, in original
  14. Copies of first and last pages of the passport

Applicants applying in Hyderabad must submit documents mentioned below;

  1. Original passport (with at least 6 months validity; and at least two empty pages)
    • Previous passport needs to be submitted if current passport is issued after 2015
  2. Visa application form filled and signed by the applicant.
  3. Photo copy of Passport first and last page.
  4. Invitation letter from the College / University in Turkey in English or Turkish
  5. Flight reservation.
  6. Fee receipt paid to the College / University in Turkey
  7. Educational Certificates(original and photocopy)
  8. Personal bank statement of last three months with Original Bank Seal and with sufficient funds (1 Lac and above)
  9. 02 Photograph according to biometric specifications, not older than 6 months - (Photo Specifications – size 2.5 Inches x 2.5 Inches, Full face, front view, eyes open, white background, natural expression, Height of the head between 25-35mm).
  10. Police clearance certificate (PCC) is a mandatory document (it can be issued from Local Police Station or Passport Office).
  11. Travel Insurance for 90 days.

Photo Specifications

  • It should be in sharp focus and clean.
  • It should be of high quality with no ink marks and creases.
  • The photograph must show you looking directly at the camera.
  • It should be 2.5 inch X 2.5 inch with White Background and 70% face visible.
  • It should show your skin tone naturally.
  • It should have appropriate brightness and contrast.
  • The photograph should be a recent one not more than 3 months old.
  • It is to be taken without headgear.
  • It should be without hat/cap.
  • It should be with the applicant's hair tucked behind his/her ears.
  • The photograph should not have any staple marks.

Processing Time

Mumbai - Minimum 5 working days including the day of submission at the consulate.

Ahmedabad - Minimum 7 working days including the day of submission at the consulate.

Pune - Minimum 7 working days including the day of submission at the consulate.

Goa - Minimum 7 working days including the day of submission at the consulate.

Bangalore - Minimum 7 working days including the day of submission at the consulate.
