Short Stay Visa
If you wish to visit Austria for a short period of time, you must obtain a visa prior to entry if you come from a country with a visa requirement for entering Austria.
Short Stay visas allow the holder to transit through or remain in Austria territory and all other Schengen States for a maximum period of three months (90 days) within a period of six months (180 days) from the entry date into the Schengen Area. Nationals from countries included in the list of countries with the obligation to carry a visa in order to cross external borders must be in possession of this visa. Documents Required

- Valid passport with validity of at least (3) months after expiry of the visa and should contain at least 3 blank pages.
- One (1) photocopy of all passport pages / Copy of passport’s data sheet (containing the passport picture)
- Copies of previous Schengen visa, if any
- 01 recent identity photo in color on white background.
- Confirmed air ticket/s to final destination. If ticket is presented, a copy is retained.
- Proof of sufficient and regular personal financial means (bank statements or bank voucher for purchased currency or statement of available credit on credit card) or work employment contract with a recent alary pay slip.
- Hotel Confirmation/s for the whole journey within the Schengen Countries.
- Proof of a valid travel insurance policy, either individual or group, with a minimum cover of 30,000 Euro covering the period requested for the single/multiple entries.
- Letter of Invitation by the host giving the reasons for invitation.
- Declaration of Proof duly filled, all marked accordingly, signed by the Host and countersigned by an Austrian Lawyer/Notary, accompanied by a photocopy of the I.D. Austrian Card (back and front required) or Passport Identification of the signing host.
- A copy of the ID card or passport of host if host is a Austrian or EU national
or a copy of the resident permit/visa issued in Austria, if host is a Third Country national - Evidence of the applicant’s economic, domestic and social entrenchment in his home country
- Invitation signed by the inviting company using company stationery in the original (or company fax/company mail to the embassy/consulate), which contains travel purpose, travel date, name, date of birth and passport number of the invitee. .
- FOR MINORS: Birth certification of minor +Authorization of the both parents or Legal Guardian+ Copy of Passport Data Page of both Parents or Legal Guardian In case of Legal Guardianship documentary evidence proving status .
- Proof of the traveler's socio-occupational situation:
- Employees: Work certificate or recent employment contract + last three pay slips + leave or mission order + Social Security affiliation certificate (CNAS) + annual declaration of wages of the previous year + trade register Of the employer.+bank statment of the last three months
- Retailers: Employer's business register + certificate of existence / C20 + management proxy + role extract + update of CASNOS +Bank statement of the last six months.
- Liberal Professions: Installation Decision / Business Card + C20 + update of CASNOS+ Bank statement of the last six months
- Farmers: Certificate of farmer + Farmer map + Update of CASNOS+Bank statement of last six months
- Retired: Certificate of receipt of a retirement pension.
- Students : Certificate of schooling + student card + proof of the socio-professional situation of the parents + care by the parents.
- Unemployed: Proof of current financial resources.
- If the applicant is married : Family card is necessary
- NON-ALGERIANCITIZEN: Residence permit valid for 3 months after return
Important : In Arabic, a translation into deutsch or French must be attached.

Photo Specifications
Photograph Quality
The photographes must be:
- No more than 6-months old
- 35-40mm in width
- Close up of your head and top of your shoulders so that your face takes up 70 -80% of the photograph
- In sharp focus and clear
- Of high quality with no ink marks or creases
The photographs must:
- Show you looking directly at the camera
- Show your skin tones naturally
- Have appropriate brightness and contrast
- Be printed on high quality paper, and at high resolution Photographs taken with a digital camera must be high quality colour and printed on photo-quality paper.
Style and lighting
The photographs must be:
- Be colour neutral
- Show your eyes open and clearly visible-no hair across your eyes
- Show you facing square on to the camera, not looking over one shoulder (portrait style) or tilted, and showing both edges of your face clearly
- Be taken with a plain light-coloured background
- Be taken with uniform lighting and not show shadows or flash reflections on your face and no red eye
Glasses and head covers
If you wear glasses:
- Be colour neutral
- The photograph must show your eyes clearly with no flash reflection off the glasses, and no tinted lenses (if possible, avoid heavy frames - wear lighter framed glasses if you have them)
- Make sure that the frames do not cover any part of your eyes.
Head coverings :
- Are not permitted except for religious reasons, but your facial features from bottom of chin to top of forehead and both edges of your face must be clearly shown.

Processing Time
Usually, processing time for visa applications is 10 working days (starting from the time when the Embassy or Consulate received the application, not including the transportation time), counting from when all requested documents have been submitted. This period may be extended in specific cases, notably when further scrutiny of the application is required, for example, when an applicant must come to an interview or submit additional documentation requested by the Embassy or Consulate. During certain times of the year, the processing time can be longer due to the high volume of applications. It is recommended to submit your visa application at least two weeks prior to date of travel date and if possible, even earlier ahead of the holiday period.
Please note that the application processing time and decisions on visa applications are the sole prerogative of the Embassy or Consulate. VFS Global has no role to play in these areas of the application process.

Transit

Overview
A transit visa is required for nationals of certain states to go through the international transit area of airports, without actually entering the national territory of the country concerned, during a stop-over or transfer between two stages of an international flight.
In other words an Airport Transit Visa is required when you are required to connect through an airport in one of the Schengen countries without actually leaving the transit are of the airport. [I.e. you arrive from a non-Schengen country and depart to a non-Schengen country]IMPORTANT

Official Mission

Overview
If you are planning a short visit to Slovenia for up to 90 days or less and you do not have the nationality of one of the countries of the European Economic Area (EEA), you may need to apply for a Schengen visa. Slovenia is one of the 26 European countries forming the Schengen Area which have no border controls between them. These countries also issue a common visa, the Schengen visa for a stay of up to 90 days in any period of 180 days. Please note that the following essentials must be met by all applicants submitting their applications for visa.
- Passport should have at least two blank pages.
- Passport should be valid for at least 3 months from the date on which the applicant intends to leave the SCHENGEN territory, or, in the case of multiple journeys the date on which the applicant intends to leave it for the last time
- Applications are only accepted within 3 months of the requested date of arrival
- Relevant Forms & Photograph: Fully completed application form appropriate to the type of visa
- Application will be accepted only until 15 days (excluding Visa Application Center handling time) before the date of travel.
The collection of passports at the Visa Application Center can be done by :
- The applicant himself or
- A representative carrying a photo id of himself/herself and an authority letter from the applicant.

Processing Time
Usually, processing time for visa applications is 10 working days (starting from the time when the Embassy or Consulate received the application, not including the transportation time), counting from when all requested documents have been submitted. This period may be extended in specific cases, notably when further scrutiny of the application is required, for example, when an applicant must come to an interview or submit additional documentation requested by the Embassy or Consulate. During certain times of the year, the processing time can be longer due to the high volume of applications. It is recommended to submit your visa application at least two weeks prior to date of travel date and if possible, even earlier ahead of the holiday period.

Business For Algerian Nationals Traveling To Slovenia

Overview
If you are planning a short visit to Slovenia for up to 90 days or less and you do not have the nationality of one of the countries of the European Economic Area (EEA), you may need to apply for a Schengen visa. Slovenia is one of the 26 European countries forming the Schengen Area which have no border controls between them. These countries also issue a common visa, the Schengen visa for a stay of up to 90 days in any period of 180 days. Please note that the following essentials must be met by all applicants submitting their applications for visa.
- Passport should have at least two blank pages.
- Passport should be valid for at least 3 months from the date on which the applicant intends to leave the SCHENGEN territory, or, in the case of multiple journeys the date on which the applicant intends to leave it for the last time
- Applications are only accepted within 3 months of the requested date of arrival
- Relevant Forms & Photograph: Fully completed application form appropriate to the type of visa
- Application will be accepted only until 15 days (excluding Visa Application Center handling time) before the date of travel.
The collection of passports at the Visa Application Center can be done by :
- The applicant himself or
- A representative carrying a photo id of himself/herself and an authority letter from the applicant.
IMPORTANT
Applications can be lodged earliest three (3) months before the planned trip.
Visas are not issued on the day of the application and may take up to 4 weeks, notably when further scrutiny of the application is needed or in cases of representation where the authorities of the represented Member State are consulted. Exceptionally, when additional documentation is needed in specific cases, the period for the decision may be extended up to a maximum of 60 calendar days.
Holders of Schengen visas are still subject to immigration control at the point of entry and are not guaranteed entry into any of the Schengen countries.

- Certificate of the employment: specifying the date of recruitment, position in the company, salary level, the purpose of travel and confirmation of leave approved.
- Documents to be provided by company owner: original and copy of the commercial registry and tax card translated.
- Documents to be provided by pupils /students: proof of enrollment in school/university.
- Original bank statements, for the past 6 months / in the absence of bank account, proof of the other assets has to be provided, OR: electronic affidavit of guarantee of inviter (person or company based in Austria).
- Flight Reservation, indicating the complete itinerary of the tour
- Hotel booking confirmation or proof of accommodation.(primary reservation, all reservations need to be done directly with the hotel and no online reservations would be accepted, e.g: from Booking.com).
- Travel medical insurance covering the entire period of the intended stay, valid for all Schengen states and covering any expenses which might arise in connection with repatriation for medical reasons, urgent medical attention .emergency hospital treatment or death during the stay .the minimum coverage must be 30.000 EUR.

- Birth certificate translated.(copy + original )
- If the minor travel without his/her legal guardian: consent of both parents or legal guardian, the application needs to be signed by both parents in front of VFS Global agent, in case of one parent/guardian is residing in another country, he/she has to submit a written letter of consent to the travel.
