Visa Fees

Please note that VFS Global offers an additional optional service for visa applicants in Iraq. VFS charges an extra service fee for this service, to be paid by the applicant.

Apart from the visa fee, a VFS service charge of 25 USD payable in cash (for submission)

  1. The prescribed fee for the processing of multiple-entry work visa applications submitted by the citizens of the United States of America is 190 US dollars, and for other multiple-entry visa applications for diverse purposes, the fee is set 160 US dollars.
  2. The fee for the processing of multiple-entry visa applications of the citizens of the Republic of Korea is 150 US dollars.
  3. The prescribed fee for the processing of multiple-entry visa applications of the citizens of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan is 200 US dollars.
  4. The fee for the processing of visa applications submitted by citizens of the Swiss Confederation and the Kingdom of Norway is 35 euros.
  5. In accordance with bilateral intergovernmental agreements, a visa-free regime is applicable for citizens of the relevant foreign countries holding diplomatic or service (or official/special) passports (Annex 1);
  6. In accordance with bilateral intergovernmental and multilateral international agreements, a visa-free regime is being applied for citizens of the relevant foreign countries holding diplomatic, service (or official/special) and ordinary passports (Annex 2);

Documents Required

• Visa application form (filled out through the visa application portal – www.visaapplication.mfa.gov.az);
• Passport or other travel document (a validity period of a passport or other travel document should exceed a validity period of an expected visa at least by 3 months) and copies of their main pages (page with biometric photo);
• Two color photographs (3x4cm) matching with biometric identification requirements;
• A copy of medical insurance certificate;
• Document certifying payment of a state fee;
• Document confirming the applicant’s essential financial means for the visa application (in accordance with the duration, purpose and planned activities during the trip);
• Tourism voucher or travel itinerary, a passenger ticket, along with a document confirming accommodation arrangements in hotels, campsites, tourist bases or similar establishments;
• A certified copy of documents validating the degree of kinship when travelling with family members;
• A notarized copy of a birth certificate, a permission of parents or a legitimate representative and copies of identification documents are required for issuance of visa to foreigners and stateless persons under 18 holders of a passport travelling without his/her parent or a legitimate representative.

Processing Time

Visa applications are processed within 15 days from the date of submission (this provision is regulated by the national legislation of the Republic of Azerbaijan)

Visa applications from citizens of European Union member states are processed within 3 calendar days from the date of document submission.

• A copy of the application of the inviting party (state bodies of the Republic of Azerbaijan, legal entities operating in the Republic of Azerbaijan or natural persons engaged in individual entrepreneurial activity, branches and representations of foreign legal entities) approved by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan (on the bases of a verbal note addressed to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, extended to guests of the Embassy of Republic of Iraq in the Republic of Azerbaijan).

• A commitment letter to cover all the costs related to the visit of applicant (ticket, daily accommodation, medical and etc. costs) or relevant document on availability of funds to cover these costs;
• A notarial authenticated invitation letter from the inviting party (on the bases of a verbal note addressed to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, extended to the family members or relatives of the personnel of the Embassy of Republic of Iraq in the Republic of Azerbaijan);
• A copy of the identity document of the inviting person;
• A copy of document confirming that the invited party is a family member of the inviting party - a citizen of the Republic of Azerbaijan, a foreigner or stateless person permanently residing in the Republic of Azerbaijan, labor migrant, foreigner or stateless person who studies in the Republic of Azerbaijan with the temporary residence permit;
• A notarized copy of a birth certificate, a permission of parents or a legitimate representative and copies of identification documents are required for issuance of visa to foreigners and stateless persons under 18 holders of a passport travelling without his/her parent or a legitimate representative.

• A certified copy of the inviting party’s application approved by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan (inviting party may include state entities of the Republic of Azerbaijan, scientific research institutions and educational institutions registered by the state).
