Tourist Visa (Stay till 90 days)

Overview
It is applicable in case you are travelling for tourism. This visa is given for a period of the stay up to 90 days within 180 days.

Photo Specifications
All photos must meet the requirements listed below. If these requirements have not been met, the applicant will have to deliver a new photo that meets the requirements. The photo requirements are the same for children as for adults.
The Photo shall:
- be in sharp focus, clear and with good contrasts
- be printed on quality photo paper with high solution
- be in colours with a light background
- be 35-45 mm in width
- maximum 6 months old, resemble the applicant
- full-face, facing the camera directly, eyes looking straight at the camera
- show the whole head and the top of the shoulders. The face shall occupy 70-80 % of the picture
- show open eyes that are clearly visible. Hair shall not cover the eyes
Regarding glasses:
Glasses are allowed as long as the eyes are clearly visible.
- the glasses cannot be coloured
- the rim must not cover any part of the eyes
- there cannot be reflection in the glasses
Regarding head-dress:
Religious head-dresses are allowed provided that all details of the face are clearly shown.
- Chin, forehead and both cheeks shall all be clearly visible
- Shadows in the face due to the head-dress are not allowed

Processing time varies according to the type of visa. Visas submitted within a group have a longer processing time. Be sure to plan your visa application in advance. After all application requirements are met.
The estimated processing time does not include:
- The time an application is withheld by a travel or visa agency;
- The time the applicant takes to provide additional information/documents required by the Consular Section;
- The time necessary for a work visa to be approved by Ministry of Labor and Employment of Brazil (VITEM III and VITEM V) and for the visas which a consultation to the Ministry of External Relations of Brazil is required. (Temporary Visas – VITEM I, IV, VI, VII and also Permanent Visas - VIPER)

Cultural Visa, Academic and Health (Variable term of stay)

Overview
This visa application is applicable in case you are travelling for taking part in cultural/sports events. This visa is given for a period of the variable term of stay.

Temporary Visa for family reunion

Overview
Family reunion visas may be granted to legal dependents of a Brazilian national or of a foreign citizen holding temporary or permanent Brazilian visas
Who can apply for VITEM XI (Family Reunion).
- Spouse or partner, without any discrimination, under the terms of the Brazilian legal system, Brazilian or immigrant beneficiary of residence permit.
- The child of a Brazilian or an immigrant beneficiary of a residence permit.
- Who has a Brazilian child.
- Who has an immigrant child with a residence permit.
- Ascending to the second degree of Brazilian or immigrant beneficiary of residence permit.
- Descendant to the second degree of Brazilian or immigrant beneficiary of residence permit.
- Brother of a Brazilian or immigrant beneficiary of a residence permit, provided that he is under 18 years old, or of any age, if economic dependence in relation to the caller is proven; or that he has a Brazilian under his tutelage, trustee or custody.

Documents Required
Documents required to request VITEM XI (Family Reunion).
- Passport.
- International certificate of immunization (yellow fever);
- proof of means of transport to enter the national territory (air ticket reservation).
- Certificate of criminal record.
- Birth or marriage certificate to prove the relationship between the applicant and the Brazilian or immigrant beneficiary of a residence permit, or a suitable document that proves the bond.
- identity document of the Brazilian or immigrant beneficiary of residence permit with which the applicant wishes to meet; and
- Declaration, under the penalties of the law,that the caller resides in Brazil.
