VISA TYPES
Citizens of Armenia who plan to visit Croatia are required to have a visa.
If you are not a citizen of Armenia but you reside in Armenia please check whether you require a visa for Croatia: http://www.mvep.hr/en/consular-information/visas/visa-requirements-overview/.
Please pay attention that pursuant to the Government’ Decision, the Republic of Croatia decided to apply Decision No. 565/2016/EU according to which all visitors holders of valid Schengen documents do not require an additional (Croatian) visa to enter Croatia.
Therefore, visitors who are holders of:
- Uniform (C) visa for two or multiple entries, valid for all Schengen Area Member States;
- Visa with limited territorial validity (LTV visa) for two or multiple entries, issued to a holder of a travel document that is not recognised by one or more but not all of the Schengen Area Member States and which is valid for the territory of the Member States recognising the travel document;
- Long-stay visa (D) for stays exceeding three months, issued by one of the Schengen Area Member State;
- Residence permit issued by one of the Schengen Area Member State;
do not require a visa for transit or intended stay in the territory of the Republic of Croatia that does not exceed 90 days in any period of 180 day-period.

The period of validity of the above mentioned Schengen documents must cover the duration of the transit or stay.
Information for the holders of the Residence card of a family member of a Union citizen
A family member of a citizen of an EU Member State or the European Economic Area may travel to Croatia without a visa, if (s)he has a valid passport and a valid Residence card of a family member of a Union citizen, and is travelling in the company of or is joining the family member who is a citizen of an EU Member State or the EEA.
If the family member of a citizen of an EU Member State or the EEA does not have such a card, (s)he needs a Croatian visa that will be issued on the basis of an accelerated procedure, free of charge.
A short-stay visa (C-visa) allows the visitor to transit through, or stays in the territory of the Republic of Croatia for a maximum of 90 days in any period 180 day-period. It is issued for one, two, or multiple entries for the purpose of transit, tourism, business, private or other purposes. Its validity period depends on the circumstances of the visitor’s travel to Croatia and may not exceed five years.
The visa shall not entitle a visitor to enter the Republic of Croatia.
A foreigner cannot work in Croatia on the basis of a short-term visa.
VISA ISSUANCE PROCEDURE

A visa application cannot be submitted earlier than 3 months prior to the beginning of the planned journey and can be submitted by:
- Applicant himself
- For minors by a parent or legal guardian
Please pay attention that visa procedure will take approximately 18 working days. In contrary, the Embassy could not guarantee that the passport with issued visa will reach the applicant on time. Therefore, applicants are advised to submit their application on time. The processing time may be extended up to 90 days in individual cases, notably when further review of the application is needed. A visa is the approval for transit through the territory of the Republic of Croatia or for entering the Republic of Croatia and staying up to three months in each six-month period counting from the date of the first entry.
It is issued for one, two or more entries for transit, tourist, business, private or other purposes.
The expiry date depends on the circumstances and cannot exceed five years.
The possession of a visa does not grant the entry into the Republic of Croatia. Other legal requirements must also be met. Aliens may not work on the territory of the Republic of Croatia based on a visa alone.
Aliens must apply for a visa prior to their entry into the Republic of Croatia, at the Visa Application Centre or the competent diplomatic mission/consular post.
An alien shall apply for the visa personally. Exceptionally, an alien need not file the application personally, but they shall present themselves when called upon by the diplomatic mission/consular post.
A visa application for an alien minor or an alien deprived of their business capacity shall be submitted by their legal representative.
Visa application forms shall be submitted no sooner than three months prior to the date of the intended trip.

Overview
This type of visa is applicable for those who travel on Tourist purpose.
It allows the citizens of Armenia to travel to Croatia and stay for a limited period of time of not more than 90 days in a 6 months period from the date of the first entrance into the country.

Visa Fees
Fees are due on the visa application when applying.

In addition to the visa fee, there is a service charge per applicant (inclusive of VAT) to be paid during submission.
Following categories of persons are exempt from paying service fee:
- Children under 12 years old
- Disabled person (1st and 2nd groups of disability) and the person accompanying them, if required
- Members of the family of Croatian citizens (husband/wife/child under 21) who are exempt from paying visa fees by law
Following categories of people are exempt from paying visa fee:
- Close relatives: family members of EU citizens (husband/wife/child under 21)
- Pensioners;
- Children under the age of 12;
- Persons with disabilities with the persons accompanying them, if necessary;
- Representatives of civil society and persons invited by Armenian community
- Persons participating in scientific, cultural, artistic activities and sport events (if their purpose of travel coincides with their current activity);
- Journalists and accompanying technical crew (if their purpose of travel coincides with their current activity);
- People traveling to attend a funeral of a close relative (documents indicating the purpose are required)
- Members of official delegations participating in government activities.

Documents Required
Application form filled in online at
- 2 biometrics photos (3.5 x 4.5), taken not earlier than 6 months. The forehead and ears should be as visible as possible, without heavy massive jewelry. The photo should be of high quality, desirable: not glossy.
- Valid Passport (issued no later than 10 years ago and with a validity of 3 months after the return day). The passport is preferable to be clean and without damages.
- For minors:
- Birth certificate
- Copies of pages with notes of parents’ passports (if the minor is applying with one parent only or without parents)
- Marriage certificate of parents / Paternity acknowledgement certificate /Divorce certificate/ Guardianship documents
- Foreign citizens should provide the proof of their legal stay in Armenia: residence permit
- Documents indicating the purpose of the journey.
- an invitation from the inviting company (the document should be on the official blank of the company, signed by the head of the company and stamped, with the name surname, position, dates of the journey and passport details of the inviting person;
- Proof of accommodation. If the inviting part is providing the accommodation, then the appropriate proof must be provided, if not - other proof is needed (for example hotel reservation (personal data of the applicant, name of hotel, address and number of guests must be mentioned))
- Documents indicating that the applicant possesses sufficient means of subsistence both for the duration of the intended stay and for the return to his country of origin or residence, (70 Euro/day )
- Bank reference/statement (for the last 3 months) or appropriate documents from the third part with the obligation to cover all expenses related to the journey. If there is no relation between the applicant and sponsor, then the sponsorship letter is required. The sponsorship letter is not required for husband/ wife/ underage children.
- Information enabling an assessment of the applicant’s intention to leave the territory of the Member States before the expiry of the visa applied for:
- a reference from the work place (letter from the employer, issued no earlier than a month, on the company blank with full attributes of the company, including the job title, dates of employment, salary and business trip and preservation of job on return;
- Pension book/certificate
- ticket reservation (personal data of the applicant and flight details must be mentioned)
- For minors who travel without parents or with one parent only:
- Birth certificate
- Marriage certificate of parents / Paternity acknowledgement certificate/Divorce certificate
- Notarized consent (translated and confirmed by the notary) from parents if the child is travelling alone or with one parent only. At least one parent must be present while submitting the documents.
- If the documents of minor are submitted by the third part (except parents and legal guardian), then the power of attorney with appropriate points is required based on which they can apply in the Visa Application Centre.
- It is not mandatory for children under 12 years to be present while submitting the documents.
- Travel medical insurance. (Personal data of the applicant, dates of the journey, the area and sum (30 000 €/ 50 000$) of coverage must be mentioned). All the information must correspond to the information in the passport. If the insurance is not done online, it should be with stamp and signature
Additionally, the Consulate can require other documents, supporting the information mentioned in the application.
* NOTE:
- All the documents (that are not in English or Croatian) should have English or Croatian translations either notarized or confirmed by translation offices.
- The documents attached shall not be older than one month by the time of entering the Embassy.
- In case of providing not full package of document, the applicant takes the full responsibility.
Important notes and warnings:
- Croatian Embassy may require you to submit additional supporting documents and/or certified translation as well as the international certification (apostille) of the documents during the visa application process.
- Submitting a visa application, including all the required documents, does not automatically mean that the visa will be issued.
- An issued visa is not a guarantee that a foreign citizen will be permitted to enter the Republic of Croatia. On every crossing of the border, the police may require the foreign citizen to present a photocopy of the Letter of Guarantee in case of both private and business visits, and it is therefore recommendable to carry the Letter of Guarantee, as well as the proof of having sufficient funds, in hand baggage.
- The decision to refuse a visa, indicating reasons for such a decision, shall be delivered to the applicant in a visa refusal/annulment/revocation form.
- The visa application fee is non-refundable once the application has been accepted at the Embassy.
- Any falsification of the documents and the use of such documents may be subject to criminal prosecution.

Photo Specifications
- Photographs must follow the below guidelines
- in colour
- 35x45 mm
- printed on normal photographic paper
- taken against a light background
- full face taken straight forward 30-36 mm from point of the chin to the head of hair
- ears should be visible with no large accessories
- the person is to be captured with neutral facial expression, with his/her eyes open and mouth closed
- the photo should be no more than 6-months old
- be printed on high quality paper and at high resolution
- the photograph of a person, who for religious or medical reasons is wearing a head cover, must show the person's cheeks, chin and forehead
- children in photographs must be alone, and their faces fully visible and eyes open

Processing Time
VISA ISSUANCE PROCEDURE
Please pay attention that visa procedure will take approximately 15 working days. In contrary, the Embassy could not guarantee that the passport with issued visa will reach the applicant on time. Therefore, applicants are advised to submit their application on time. The processing time may be extended up to 45 days in individual cases, notably when further review of the application is needed.
Please bear in mind the needed two way transit time as well as the necessary processing time at the Croatian Embassy, while planning your trip and application submission at the VAC.

Download Forms
Visa application form has to be completed for all the applicants including minors online/electronically on your computer. The VAF has to be filled out in English or Croatian languages. The form needs to be signed personally by the applicant in the field 37 and on the last page.
For minors, the application must be signed by one of the parents or a legal guardian.

- Copy of valid and old passports- all pages that contain personal data, stamps ,visas and other notes)
- For minors who travel without parents or with one parent only:
- Birth certificate
- Marriage certificate of parents / Paternity acknowledgement certificate/Divorce certificate

The applicants are requested to read the basic requirements carefully and conform to the same while submitting the application. The applicant may, however, be asked to provide additional documents, if required, by the Embassy.

- Documents indicating the purpose of the journey. (proof of accommodation)
- Invitation from the inviting person on a special form approved by the Immigration Office.
- Document indicating the personality of inviting person (copy of passport, copy of residence permit), based on which the invitation is issued;
- an official document supporting the relationship of the applicant with the inviting part;
- If the expenses are covered by the inviting part, then the financial means of the inviting part is required (bank statement for the last 3 months and bank reference)
- Proof of accommodation. If the inviting part is providing the accommodation, then the appropriate proof must be provided, if not - other proof is needed (for example hotel reservation (personal data of the applicant, name of hotel, address and number of guests must be mentioned))

- Marriage certificate of parents / Paternity acknowledgement certificate/Divorce certificate
- Notarized consent (translated and confirmed by the notary) from parents if the child is travelling alone or with one parent only. At least one parent must be present while submitting the documents.
- If the documents of minor are submitted by the third part (except parents and legal guardian), then the power of attorney with appropriate points is required based on which they can apply in the Visa Application Centre.
- It is not mandatory for children under 12 years to be present while submitting the documents.
- Additional documents: real estate certificate, marriage certificate, birth certificate, etc.
Additionally, the Consulate can require other documents, supporting the information mentioned in the application or had during the interview.
NOTE:
- All the documents (that are not in Croatian or English) should have Croatian or English translations either notarized or confirmed by translation offices.
- The documents attached shall not be older than one month by the time of entering the Embassy.

- Proof of accommodation. If the inviting part is providing the accommodation, then the appropriate proof must be provided, if not - other proof is needed (for example hotel reservation (personal data of the applicant, name of hotel, address and number of guests must be mentioned))
- Documents indicating that the applicant possesses sufficient means of subsistence both for the duration of the intended stay and for the return to his country of origin or residence, (70 Euro/day)
- Bank reference/statement (for the last 3 months) or appropriate documents from the third part with the obligation to cover all expenses related to the journey. If there is no relation between the applicant and sponsor, then the sponsorship letter is required. The sponsorship letter is not required for husband/ wife/ underage children.
- Information enabling an assessment of the applicant’s intention to leave the territory of the Member States before the expiry of the visa applied for:
- a reference from the work place (letter from the employer, issued no earlier than a month, on the company blank with full attributes of the company, including the job title, dates of employment, salary and business trip and preservation of job on return;
- Pension book/certificate
- ticket reservation (personal data of the applicant and flight details must be mentioned)
- For minors who travel without parents or with one parent only:
- Birth certificate
- Marriage certificate of parents / Paternity acknowledgement certificate/Divorce certificate
- Notarized consent (translated and confirmed by the notary) from parents if the child is travelling alone or with one parent only. At least one parent must be present while submitting the documents.
- If the documents of minor are submitted by the third part (except parents and legal guardian), then the power of attorney with appropriate points is required based on which they can apply in the Visa Application Centre.
- It is not mandatory for children under 12 years to be present while submitting the documents.
- Travel medical insurance. (Personal data of the applicant, dates of the journey, the area and sum (30 000 €/ 50 000$) of coverage must be mentioned). All the information must correspond to the information in the passport. If the insurance is not done online, it should be with stamp and signature.
Additionally, the Consulate can require other documents, supporting the information mentioned in the application.
* NOTE:
- All the documents (that are not in English or Croatian) should have English or Croatian translations either notarized or confirmed by translation offices.
- The documents attached shall not be older than one month by the time of entering the Embassy.
- In case of providing not full package of document, the applicant takes the full responsibility.
Important notes and warnings:
- Croatian Embassy may require you to submit additional supporting documents and/or certified translation as well as the international certification (apostille) of the documents during the visa application process.
- Submitting a visa application, including all the required documents, does not automatically mean that the visa will be issued.
- An issued visa is not a guarantee that a foreign citizen will be permitted to enter the Republic of Croatia. On every crossing of the border, the police may require the foreign citizen to present a photocopy of the Letter of Guarantee in case of both private and business visits, and it is therefore recommendable to carry the Letter of Guarantee, as well as the proof of having sufficient funds, in hand baggage.
- The decision to refuse a visa, indicating reasons for such a decision, shall be delivered to the applicant in a visa refusal/annulment/revocation form.
- The visa application fee is non-refundable once the application has been accepted at the Embassy.

Processing Time
Please pay attention that visa procedure will take approximately 15 working days. In contrary, the Embassy could not guarantee that the passport with issued visa will reach the applicant on time. Therefore, applicants are advised to submit their application on time. The processing time may be extended up to 45 days in individual cases, notably when further review of the application is needed.
Please bear in mind the needed two way transit time as well as the necessary processing time at the Croatian Embassy, while planning your trip and application submission at the VAC.

Overview
This type of visa is applicable for those who travel on Tourist purpose.
It allows the citizens of Armenia to travel to Croatia and stay for a limited period of time of not more than 90 days in a 6 months period from the date of the first entrance into the country.

Visa Fees
Fees are due on the visa application when applying.

In addition to the visa fee, there is a service charge per applicant (inclusive of VAT) to be paid during submission.
Following categories of persons are exempt from paying service fee:
- Children under 12 years old
- Disabled person (1st and 2nd groups of disability) and the person accompanying them, if required
- Members of the family of Croatian citizens (husband/wife/child under 21) who are exempt from paying visa fees by law
Following categories of people are exempt from paying visa fee:
- Close relatives: family members of EU citizens (husband/wife/child under 21)
- Pensioners;
- Children under the age of 12;
- Persons with disabilities with the persons accompanying them, if necessary;
- Representatives of civil society and persons invited by Armenian community
- Persons participating in scientific, cultural, artistic activities and sport events (if their purpose of travel coincides with their current activity);
- Journalists and accompanying technical crew (if their purpose of travel coincides with their current activity);
- People traveling to attend a funeral of a close relative (documents indicating the purpose are required)
- Members of official delegations participating in government activities.

Documents Required
The applicants are requested to read the basic requirements carefully and conform to the same while submitting the application. The applicant may, however, be asked to provide additional documents, if required, by the Embassy.
Application form filled in online at
- 2 biometrics photos (3.5 x 4.5), taken not earlier than 6 months. The forehead and ears should be as visible as possible, without heavy massive jewelry. The photo should be of high quality, desirable: not glossy.
- Valid Passport (issued no later than 10 years ago and with a validity of 3 months after the return day). The passport is preferable to be clean and without damages.
- For minors:
- Birth certificate
- Copies of pages with notes of parents’ passports (if the minor is applying with one parent only or without parents)
- Marriage certificate of parents / Paternity acknowledgement certificate /Divorce certificate/ Guardianship documents
- Foreign citizens should provide the proof of their legal stay in Armenia: residence permit, stamp of registration, which must be valid at least 3 months after the intended return from EU member states.
- Documents indicating the purpose of the journey. (proof of accommodation)
- Any documents, supporting the purpose of the trip as mentioned in the application/for example medical documents
- Documents indicating that the applicant possesses sufficient means of subsistence both for the duration of the intended stay and for the return to his country of origin or residence, or for the transit to a third country into which he is certain to be admitted (70 Euro/day)

Short Term Visa (C- Visa)
If you are not a citizen of Algeria, but reside in Algeria; please check whether you require a visa for Croatia click here.
Important notice:
Please pay attention that pursuant to the Government’ Decision, the Republic of Croatia decided to apply Decision No. 565/2016/EU according to which all visitors who are holders of valid Schengen documents do not require an additional (Croatian) visa to enter Croatia.
Therefore, visitors who are holders of:
- Uniform (C) visa for two or multiple entries, valid for all Schengen Area Member States;
- Visa with limited territorial validity (LTV visa) for two or multiple entries, issued to a holder of a travel document that is not recognised by one or more but not all of the Schengen Area Member States and which is valid for the territory of the Member States recognising the travel document;
- Long-stay visa (D) for stays exceeding three months, issued by one of the Schengen Area Member State;
- Residence permit issued by one of the Schengen Area Member State;
do not require a visa for transit or intended stay in the territory of the Republic of Croatia that does not exceed 90 days in any period of 180 day-period.
Nationals of Kosovo, who are holders of Schengen visas with limited territorial validity (LTV visas), valid for all Schengen countries except for Greece and
Spain, do not require additional Croatian visa for transit through or intended stays in the territory of the Republic of Croatia not exceeding 90 days in any 180-day period.
The period of validity of the above mentioned Schengen documents must cover the duration of the transit or stay.
This facilitated entry of aliens is in force until Croatia fully applies the provisions of the Schengen acquis.
Important notes and warnings:
- Please note that you may be required to come for a personal interview with the visa. officer at the Embassy of the Republic of Croatia in Algeria prior to a decision being made on your application.
- Embassy also reserves the right to ask for additional supporting documents during the visa application process.

- An issued visa is not a guarantee that a foreign citizen will be permitted to enter the Republic of Croatia. - A foreign citizen may file a complaint against the decision to refuse a visa through the competent Embassy/Consulate of the Republic of Croatia, within 15 days from the date of receipt of the decision on visa refusal/annulment/revocation. The complaint shall be filed in Croatian. The fee for non-European countries is HRK 260 or EUR 26 or US$ 35, according to Section 78b of the Law on Administrative Fees.
- The visa application fee is non-refundable once the application has been accepted at the Embassy.
- An Embassy/Consular Post may invite the applicant to an interview; require him/her to submit further documents and/or certified translation as well as the international certification (apostille) of the documents.
- Any falsification of the documents and the use of such documents may be subject to criminal prosecution.
- A visa is the approval for transit through the territory of the Republic of Croatia or for entering the Republic of Croatia and staying up to three months in each six-month period counting from the date of the first entry.
- It is issued for one, two or more entries for transit, tourist, business, private or other purposes.
- The expiry date depends on the circumstances and cannot exceed five years.
- The possession of a visa does not grant the entry into the Republic of Croatia. Other legal requirements must also be met. Aliens may not work on the territory of the Republic of Croatia based on a visa alone.
- Aliens must apply for a visa prior to their entry into the Republic of Croatia, at the Visa Application Centre or the competent diplomatic mission/consular post.
- An alien shall apply for the visa personally. Exceptionally, an alien need not file the application personally, but they shall present themselves when called upon by the diplomatic mission/consular post.
- A visa application for an alien minor or an alien deprived of their business capacity shall be submitted by their legal representative.
- Visa application forms shall be submitted no sooner than three months prior to the date of the intended trip.
