    Other consular services available include police clearance certificates for specific purposes, attestation of civil and legal documents, attestation of educational certificates of Indian students resident in Iraq ,issue of birth certificates to children of Indian nationals born in Iraq .Details may be obtained from the Consular Officer.

    • Document to be attested should be provided with Original + one photo copy
    • Passport copy of the person(s) sponsored
    • APPLICANT SHOULD BE PRESENT IN PERSON AND SIGN THE POA
    • Contact Landline and/or Mobile Number of the applicant should be taken invariably

    Baghdad : In normal cases attested documents will be delivered on the 3 working day.

    Basra: 5 working days.

Miscellaneous Services

  1. Police Clearance Certificate (PCC)

    A certificate will be issued from the Embassy of India based on the police reports available in the Indian system. This entitles the applicant to submit it if requested by any country an applicant intends to travel for an immigration or work related purpose.

    Requirements:-

    • Applicants are required to fill online application form at https://portal5.passportindia.gov.in/Online/index.html and carry a printout of the filled in application form.
    • Personal Particulars Form
    • Photocopy of passport along with cover pages and other relevant pages of the passport.
    • Photocopy of the national id (Original to be produced for verification).
    • Two recent passport size photograph (one to be affixed on the form).
    • PCC application to be applied in person or an authorization letter if applying on behalf of someone.
    • Fee is USD 25/- (Note : An additional Fee of USD 2/- is levied on each Service as contribution towards the Indian Community Welfare Fund (ICWF).
    • Processing time – Subject to police clearance from the concerned police authorities.

  1. Non Resident Indian (NRI) Certificate

    Requirements: -

    • Application in the Miscellaneous Services Form, to be filled in if applying from Baghdad Jurisdiction – Form 2
    • Original Passport (including subsequent additional booklets if any). If the passport is issued recently (less than a year), the previous passport is also required to be submitted - Passport will be retained during the tenure of the service.
    • Travel Summary
    • Photocopy of inside cover pages and other relevant pages of the passport.
    • Photocopy of national id(Original to be produced for verification).
    • One recent passport size photograph (to be affixed on the form).
    • Fee is USD 25(Note : An additional Fee of USD 2/- is levied on each Service as contribution towards the Indian Community Welfare Fund (ICWF).
    • Processing time – Two working days.

    2. VFS service fee USD 3.2 /-

  1. Duplicate Birth Certificate

    Baghdad Jurisdiction

    Requirements for issue of Duplicate Birth Certificate (DBC):

    • Application in the Miscellaneous Services Form – Form

    • Affidavit of duplicate birth certificate to be attested by the Indian Consular before applying pertaining to the relevant category applicable namely,

      1. Affidavit for DBC in lieu of handwritten or damaged – Major
      2. Affidavit for DBC in lieu of handwritten or damaged – Minor
      3. Affidavit for DBC in lieu of lost – Major
      4. Affidavit for DBC in lieu of lost – Minor
    • Photocopy of inside cover pages and other relevant pages of the passport.
    • For issuance of birth certificate to a minor applicant, parents passport copy to be provided
    • Copy of birth certificate issued.  In case, copy of the Birth Certificate is not available, please provide original registration number along with date of registration.  If this is also not available, a copy of the first passport issued to the applicant/name endorsed on mother's passport. 
    • One recent passport size photograph (to be affixed on the form).
    • Fee is USD 25 /- (Note : An additional Fee of USD 2/- is levied on each Service as contribution towards the Indian Community Welfare Fund (ICWF).
    • Processing time – Two working days.

    VFS service fee USD 3.2 /-

    Note:-

    1. Only those Indian Nationals born in Iraq and whose birth was registered with the Embassy or Consulate, shall be issued duplicate Birth Certificate. In other cases, the applicant may request for a certificate based on the entries on the passport.
    2. In case the applicant is not a resident in Iraq, he/she may authorize a relative/friend to submit the original application on their behalf.

  1. Miscellaneous certificate based on entries on the passport

    Requirements:-

    • Application in the Miscellaneous Services Form – Form 2 and carry a printout of the filled in application form.
    • Original Passport (including subsequent additional booklets if any) - Passport will be retained during the tenure of the service.
    • Photocopy of inside cover pages and other relevant pages of the passport.
    • Photocopy of valid National Id (Original to be produced for verification).
    • One recent passport size photograph (to be affixed on the form).
    • Letter requesting the exact nature of certificate requested for.
    • Fee is USD 25/-(Note : An additional Fee of USD 2/- is levied on each Service as contribution towards the Indian Community Welfare Fund (ICWF).
    • Processing time – Two working days.

    2. VFS service fee USD 3.2 /- (Exclusion of )

  1. Verification of Abbreviated Name

    The Embassy/ Consulate shall issue a purpose specific certificate to facilitate the authentication of abbreviated name of the old passport against the full name mentioned in the current passport.

    Requirements:-

    • Duly filled offline Form – 2
    • Passport copies of current and the old passport
    • National id copy
    • Covering letter stating the purpose of request
    • Educational certificate copy (If required for authenticating the name in any educational certificate)

    Fee is /- (Note: An additional fee of USD 2/- is levied on each service as contribution towards the Indian Community Welfare Fund (ICWF).

    Processing time – Two working days.

  1. Global Entry Program

    Requirements:-

    • Applicants are required to fill online application form at https://embassy.passportindia.gov.in and carry a printout of the filled in application form.
    • Original Passport (including subsequent additional booklets if any) - Passport will be retained during the tenure of the service.
    • Photocopy of inside cover pages and other relevant pages of the passport.
    • Photocopy of valid national id (Original to be produced for verification).
    • One recent passport size photograph (to be affixed on the form).
    • GEP application to be applied in person.
    • Fee is USD 25/- (Note: An additional Fee of USD 2/- is levied on each Service as contribution towards the Indian Community Welfare Fund (ICWF).
    • Processing time – (Subject to Approval).
