  • Overview

    The extended service allows applicants wishing to apply for an Employment visa to book an appointment, for processing their application directly through the Central Visa Unit within Identita, Malta .

  • Visa Fees

    Visa Category VISA FEE VAS FEE (All applicable taxes included)

    Work Permit- Standard 150 Euro 100 Euro

    The applicable VISA Fee in Nepalese Rupees is as per the current exchange rate. It is subject to change without notice.

    • Applicant shall be levied a Service charge at the visa application center during application process.
    • The VISA Fees must be paid when booking your appointment on the VFS website
    • The VISA Fee and VFS Service Fees are Non-Refundable in case the VISA is refused.

    *Note: The services offered by VFS exclusively in relation to the submitting of the application do not have any effect on the issuance or refusal of the visa which is processed by the.Central Visa unit, Identita, Malta

      DOCUMENTATION REQUIRED FOR TEMPORARY EMPLOYMENT IN MALTA

    The applicant shall ensure that prior to applying for an appointment on the online appointment portal for D-Visa Processing, a valid Approval in Principle (AIP) letter issued by Identita, Malta is in hand. The said AIP shall remain valid until the date of the appointment booking and shall be presented at the Visa Application Centre (VAC) offered by VFS. Any AIP letters which are deemed to have expired on the date of appointment shall not be accepted and as such it will not be possible for the applicant to proceed with the booked appointment. Any applicable fees paid at application stage are non-refundable. As per the instruction received from Identita, Malta, VFS Centers will not accept any application without the Identita, Malta Original work permit.

  • Photo Specifications

    Applicants Photograph will be captured at the VFs center as a part of his biometrics process. However, applicants are instructed to carry one photograph along with them as per specification while they submit their application.

  • Processing Time

    Kindly note that long stay visa applications for Malta require a minimum of 6 to 8 weeks of processing time. Therefore, please ensure that you begin the application process well in advance of your travel to Malta.     The appointment system allows applicants wishing to apply for a Student visa to book an appointment, for processing their application directly through the Central Visa Unit within Identita, Malta.

    Incomplete, unclear or unsigned applications will not be accepted.

    Ensure you use a card with international payments enabled to pay the visa fee during the appointment booking process.

    It is advisable to plan your travel well in advance to avoid any inconvenience.

    Important Note: Incomplete application will not be accepted over the counter.

    Travel insurance is mandatory for all Schengen countries. If you have not purchased, please click here.

    To Download a Form:

    Your passport must not be older than 10 years also it must be valid for at least THREE MONTHS longer than the intended stay. Your passport must have at least TWO BLANK PAGES to affix the visa.

    • The Visa application form must be complete & duly signed by the applicant. (Both the parents must sign in case of minor applicants).
    • Please ensure that you have photocopies of all your documents in equal number as the number of applications. For e.g. For 4 applicants there should be 4 copies of the sponsorship letter & other docs.
    • Please keep two photocopies of the passport ready before you reach the counter.
    • Please keep the exact amount of change for the visa fee & VFS logistic fee ready with you.
    • Please mention the name of the applicant & the passport number behind the draft (1 draft per applicant).
    • Please fill out the courier address & SMS request slip in order to avail of the mentioned services.
    • A COPY of the all the documents should be attached in EACH application.
    • Adhaar card (along with a photocopy)
    • Applicants are required to submit their bank statement along with the sponsor’s bank statement. In addition to this, also required the transaction receipt (If any) and the bank statement from which the funds have been transferred to Malta (specifically for students going to study in Malta).

    Note: If you are visiting more than one Schengen country, the transfer & accommodation details for all the countries should be mentioned & highlighted in the itinerary.

    Please highlight the specifics appended below in addition to Name of applicant & Passport Number on all the mentioned documents.

    • Itinerary: Date of Departure & Arrival & Check in & Check-out dates at the hotel
    • Insurance: Date of birth /Duration of cover/Amount of coverage

    The extended service allows applicants wishing to apply for a family Reunification visa to book an appointment, for processing their application directly through the Central Visa Unit within Identita, Malta in Malta.

    Please note that before applying for an appointment for Family Reunification category, you must get your Family reunification certificate approved by Identità. Click here to begin the approval process for Family Reunion certificate.

    Bank Statement

    Full Passport Copy

    Original marriage certificate legalized in the country of origin.

    Original birth certificate legalized in the country of origin.

    Letter of invitation from the spouse in Malta, legalized/notarized by a notary or a lawyer in Malta.

    Copy of the passport of the spouse in Malta Copy of the passport of the spouse/children in the country of origin.
