7-day entry visa – spouse
-
Overview
Foreign spouses of Norwegian citizens are, as a general rule, required to submit their applications for a residence permit at the Norwegian Embassy, and are not permitted to enter Norway until a residence permit has been granted by the Norwegian Directorate of Immigration (UDI).
However, in some exceptional cases, the Embassy may grant a 7-day Entry Visa (a national D-visa) so that the foreign spouse can travel to Norway to submit the application for Residence Permit, and wait in Norway while the case is being processed. Similarly, a 7-day Entry Visa may be granted if an application for Residence Permit already has been submitted. The Embassy processes the case, but a rejection may be appealed to UDI Applications for 7-day entry visas (D-visas) are to be registered on the Application Portal.
Simply fill out the same application form as for a Schengen Visa, pay the handling fee of 60 Euros using a credit/ debit card, and book an appointment for when you would like to submit your passport and supporting documents at the Norwegian Visa Application Centre. The processing time for 7-day Entry Visas is eight (16) weeks.

Parents whose children under 18 live in Norway
-
Overview
If you have children under the age of 18 living in Norway who you are going to live with or have access rights to, you can apply for a family immigration permit.
In the list below, you can find information about the different situations where you can be granted family immigration with your child in Norway.
- Your child has Norwegian citizenship. You must live with the child on a permanent basis and have parental responsibility for him/her. If you are married or to cohabitate with the child's other parent, you must apply for family immigration with your spouse or cohabitant, not with your child.
- Your child has Norwegian citizenship and has lived in another country in which you have had access rights. If the child moves to Norway to live with the other parent, you can be granted a residence permit to continue to visit your child here.
-
You use your access rights to your child living in Norway with his/her other parent. You must have lived in Norway and held a residence permit for the past year.
The Norwegian Directorate of Immigration can reject such an application if a residence permit will result in you as parents being in a bigamous relationship (if one of you has a new spouse or cohabitant).

Seasonal Worker
-
Overview
Seasonal work is work that can only be carried out during limited parts of the year due to climate variations, fluctuations in the availability of raw materials or other circumstances. Forestry, agriculture, the fish processing industry, plant nurseries and the restaurant and tourism industries are typical seasonal industries. Odd jobs such as carpentry, painting and other maintenance and restoration work are not considered seasonal work. If you are to replace an employee in connection with holidays, this must be clearly stated in your application. There is no requirement as to when during the year holidays can be taken. You can be granted a residence permit for seasonal work for up to six months. The six months can be divided between several permits for one and the same or several different employers. If you want to change employers after your permit has been granted, you have to apply again. For more information about permits to work as a seasonal worker, please click here

Long Term Visa (Mvv)

Overview
Visa for the Netherlands for more than 90 days (‘MVV’) have to be applied directly at the Embassy.
If you want to visit the Netherlands for an uninterrupted period longer than 90 days, you must apply for an authorisation for temporary stay (MVV). This MVV is a national (D) visa, on which you can travel to the Netherlands and subsequently apply for a residence permit.
If you do not need an MVV and wish to stay in the Netherlands for longer than 90 days, you must still report to the Immigration and Naturalisation Service (IND) to register and/or apply for a residence permit on arrival in the Netherlands.
For more detailed information about the MVV procedure, plus the entry conditions for all nationalities for stays both longer and shorter than 90 days, visit the website of the Immigration and Naturalisation Service.
For more information on the MVV procedure, you can also click here.
