Short Term Visa
SCHENGEN VISAS:
Currently, the Embassy of Austria in Amman, Jordan is competent for examining and deciding on applications for visiting Slovenia as main destination.
Foreign nationals who wish to travel to those countries (mentioned above) have to be in possession of a Schengen visa, unless they are nationals from countries which are not included in the list of countries with the obligation to carry a visa in order to cross external borders for stays in the Schengen Area of no more than three months (90 days) in a period of six months (180 days) from the date of entry into the Schengen Area.
Only Iraqi nationals and nationals of third countries who are legal residents in Iraq can apply for the Schengen visa at the Embassy of Austria and through the Visa Application Center.
Due to the increasing volume of applications, the number of appointments for applying for a Schengen visa at the Embassy's office has been restricted in order to provide a good service. For that
reason, kindly anticipate well in advance and apply AT LEAST 15 labour days before expected date of travel in order to avoid any future disappointment. Applications may also be submitted at the
VFS Global (as an outsourced partner by the Embassy of Austria in Jordan) as per the instructions given in the web page.
The same can be also submitted at the Embassy of
Austria in Jordan only with prior appointment requested at least 1 month before the proposed date of travel (no applicants will be received at the Embassy without advanced registration and no
applications will be received after visa office hours!).
NATIONAL VISAS:
Application forms for National Visas have to be submitted at the Embassy of Slovenia located in Ankara Turkey.
