National Visa

This is issued to persons who intend to stay in Polish territory altogether (in the course of one or several entries) for a period longer than 90 days in the course of a year from the date of first entry.

The long-term national visa (D) authorizes stay:

- in the territory of Poland during the validity period for which it was issued;

- and additionally to travel in the territory of the other Schengen states for up to 90 days in the curse of each 180-day period, calculated from the date of entry into the territory of the member states.

The latest you can file a visa application: at most 15 calendar days before you intend to travel. For all type of applicants, they will be allowed to file a visa application before up to 6 months prior.

Overview

  1. Passport Validity

    The passport should be valid for at least 3 months after the date of intended return from Poland. Passports issued more than 10 years before the date of application shall not be accepted. The passport should contain at least 2 blank pages for visas. Passports are accepted without additional wrappers, ex. plastic or leather. Previous passports should also be presented by the applicant (original and photocopy).

  2. Travel Medical Insurance

    Medical Insurance with a minimum coverage of € 30,000 valid in all Schengen States (original and copy). If you apply for a single entry visa - the insurance policy should cover the entire period of validity of the visa and all scheduled days of stay. In the case of applying for a multiple entry visa - the insurance policy should cover the date of first entry.

    During the next travel to the Schengen area travelers must have a current insurance policy.

  3. Minors

    In case of a minor (under 18) traveling alone or with one parent requires the consent of the other parent or legal guardian (original and photocopy). When obtaining consent is impossible - documents explaining the reason for the lack of consent (single parent certificate or other documents). When a minor is traveling alone, the consent of parents or legal guardians for travel abroad expressed in notarized certificate, must be submitted.

    Visa application form must be signed by a person exercising permanent or temporary parental authority or legal guardianship. The signature should be the same as on the enclosed copies of the passport.

    The application should include a copy of the passport (travel document) of the parents or legal guardians containing personal information with photos and in case of having a Schengen or National visa of a parent or guardian, their photocopies.

    Minors shall provide proof of financial means by the parent, by presenting the sponsorship letter.

  4. Proof of sufficient financial means

    The amount of financial means a foreigner is obliged to have with them on entering the Republic of Poland, as well as the type of documents that confirm the possession of the financial means and state the purpose of entering Poland

According to article 18 item 1-2. as well as article 19 of “Rozporządzenie Ministra Spraw Zagranicznych z dnia 23.04. 2013 r. w sprawie opłat konsularnych”, the visa fees shall be waived for the applicants belonging to the following categories;

Relatives of EU citizens ( spouse, children, parents (if dependent financially)

Relatives of Polish citizens (Spouse, children, parents) if dependent financially

Applications for diplomatic or service visas

Information Related to Family Members of EU Citizens:

This procedure applies to citizens from third countries who travel to a Member State other than the Member State of whose nationality a family member – an EU citizen is or already stay in that country.

ATTENTION:

The requested documents should be up-to-date (max. 3 months old).

The original documents and their copies must be presented by the applicant.

Additional documents may be requested by the Consul.

Please note that a failure to submit the required documents listed above, may result in a refusal of application.

Visa Fees

VISA FEE 90 USD (Please provide exact amount in cash)
VFS SERVICE FEE 13,50 Euro

Apart from the visa fee, VFS service charge in TL of the equivalent of 13,50 Euros, the exchange rate will be applied as per Turkish Central bank for previous day, inclusive of VAT per application will be levied for applicants applying at the visa application center.

Visa Application Centers do not accept payments with 500 Euros banknotes.

  • Visa fee has to be paid in cash upon submitting the application.
  • In case of visa refusal the fee will not be returned.

Photo Specifications

A Photograph submitted with the application for a visa should comply with the following specifications:

  • Must be an up-to-date photograph (dated max 6 month old)
  • Must be a colour photograph printed on normal photographic paper
  • The passport photo must be 35 by 45 mm (width x height).
  • Width: from ear to ear, between 16 mm and 20 mm.
  • Height: from age 11: from chin to crown, between 26 and 30 mm.
  • up to age 11: from chin to crown, between 19 and 30 mm
  • Full face taken straight forward 30 mm from point of the chin to top of hair
  • Taken against a white background
  • Without sunglasses
  • Without hat or other head covering unless you wear this for religious reasons
  • Spectacles should not have toned or reflecting glasses
  • The frame of the spectacles may not cover the eyes

Please note that the Visa application Centre may not accept photographs that do not meet these specifications. In case photos are not meeting the requirements mentioned above Submission Officer might ask to provide updated / recent photos.

Processing Time

Applications shall be decided on within 15 calendar days of the date of the lodging of an application which is admissible.

That period may be extended up to a maximum of 30 calendar days in individual cases, notably when further scrutiny of the application is needed.

Exceptionally, when additional documentation is needed in specific cases, the period may be extended up to a maximum of 60 calendar days.

Please note that application form for Schengen visa should be signed twice. Application forms with one signature would not be accepted.
