Seamen's Visa

For applicants seeking to join vessel from Turkey port.

For applicants applying in Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Goa, Bangalore, Chennai, Cochin, Trivandrum, and Puducherry.

1. Applicants should submit their passports along with the hardcopies of the documents and 2 biometric photos as per specification
2. VFS will accept applications as per the document checklists provided by Turkey Consulate, Mumbai. Documents will be arranged as per the order given in the checklist. Incomplete applications will not be accepted.
3. If an application is rejected, the applicant cannot reapply for 06 months
4. Applicant can apply maximum 60 days in advance for Turkey Visa.
5. It is the responsibility of all applicants to complete all applications forms truthfully, to provide correct and accurate information and documentation, to ensure that they have a valid passport, and on receipt of a visa, to check the validity of the visa issued to ensure that it covers the period of stay requested, the number or entries required, and that it is valid for the purpose of the trip.
6. Holders of Turkish visa are kindly recommended to check the “duration of stay” and “period of validity” before their travel to Turkey.
7. Holders of Turkish visa will not be allowed to enter Turkey before the start of the “validity period” of their visas.

For applicants applying in New Delhi, Chandigarh, Jaipur, Jalandhar, Gurgaon, Kolkata and Kathmandu

1. Applicants should submit their passports along with the hardcopies of the documents and 2 biometric photos as per specification
2. VFS will accept applications as per the document checklists provided by the Embassy of Turkey, New Delhi. Documents will be arranged as per the order given in the checklist.
3. Minimum Processing time is 15 working days from the date of submission at Turkish Embassy.
4. For Work Permit cases minimum processing time is 25 working days.
5. If an application is rejected, the applicant cannot reapply for 15 days from date of refusal.

For applicants applying in Hyderabad

1. Applicants should submit their passports along with the hardcopies of the documents and 2 biometric photos as per specification
2. VFS will accept applications as per the document checklists provided by the Consulate General of the Republic of Turkey, Hyderabad . Documents will be arranged as per the order given in the checklist.
3. Minimum Processing time is 3 working days from the date of submission at Turkish Embassy.
4. For Work Permit cases minimum processing time is 25 working days.
5. If an application is rejected, the applicant cannot reapply for 01 Month from date of refusal.
6. Jurisdiction: Consulate General of Turkey in Hyderabad: Andhra Pradesh, Telengana, Orissa and Chhattisgarh.
7. If an applicant wants to submit an application with urgent travel dates VFS can accept it, however the discretion to grant or refuse the visa application is completely at the discretion of the Turkey Consulate.

For Applicant’s applying at Visa Application Center in Kathmandu, Nepal

For Nepalese National, Visa fee should be paid at Standard Chartered Bank, Jawalakhel Branch. The details are as follows:

Documents for Seaman visa under Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chennai, Cochin, Trivandrum, Pondicherry , Goa Andhra Pradesh, Telengana, Orissa and Chhattisgarh.

1. Original Passport (Passport must be valid for at least 6 months upon arrival in Turkey and should have at least 2 full blank pages available in it). Also provide 2 photo copies of Passport first and last page.

   Note: Passports which are not issued in jurisdiction for applicants applying under the jurisdiction of Consulate General of Turkey Mumbai need to be submitted with local address proof which consists of Valid Lease and Licence copy, Purchase/ Sales agreement. (All the documents must be notarized)

   Aadhar Card, Electricity Bill can also be submitted with Notary and Mantralaya.

2. Visa Application Form (Available for download on website) it should be filled manually by blue or black ink in block letters with 2 white background photographs having size 2.5inch x 2.5inch

3. Online form filling format for sticker visa

   1. Online form needs to be filled in CAPITAL LETTERS only for all categories.
   2. For all categories - Mother and Father name needs to be mention in online form.
   3. For Tourist & Business - No of Travel days should be 02 days extra from the date of departure in Turkey.
   4. For all categories - In case of no surname then two dots without space (..) needs to be mention in field Surname.
   5. For work permit applications -"NAME OF HOST PERSON OR HOST COMPANY" should be "HOST COMPANY NAME" mentioned on the contract copy.
   6. For work permit applications - No of Days to be mention is 90 days from date of travel and will be single entry visa only.
4. Covering letter from Indian agent, invitation letter from turkey or colour scanned copy with clear information
5. Original CDC/Seamen’s book with copy

6. Employment contract copy, Crew list should be signed by the master and itinerary of vessel from the Company.

   The letter should mention identity, position and passport duration of seamen, Vessel owner’s details and Turkish agent details, Flag of the vessel, Date of entry /departure of ship from turkey, Seamen’s date of arrival and joining the ship.

7. 2 photocopy of applicant passport.

Documents for Seaman visa under New Delhi and Jurisdiction

1. Manually filled visa application form by blue or black pen in capital letters with 1 photograph affixed to it, signed by the applicant.
2. The original passport should be issued less than 10 years with a minimum validity of 6 months beyond the intended duration of stay in Turkish territory and with at least two full blank pages.
3. 2 biometric photos with a white background that were taken within the last 6 months, depicting the full face including ears and all hair, clearly and completely visible without shadow, in 2.5inch x 2.5inch size.
4. Covering letter from Indian agent, invitation letter from Turkey or colour scanned copy with clear information specified the full name and passport number of the applicant
5. Original CDC/Seamen’s book with copy
6. Employment contract copy, crew list should be signed by the master and itinerary of vessel from the company
7. The letter should mention identity, position and passport duration of seamen, Vessel owner’s details and Turkish agent details, flag of the vessel, date of entry /departure of ship from Turkey, Seaman’s date of arrival and joining the ship.
8. If Agent is making the application on behalf of the applicant, letter of attorney from every applicant, in original
9. Copies of first and last pages of the passport

• It should be in sharp focus and clean.
• It should be of high quality with no ink marks and creases.
• The photograph must show you looking directly at the camera.
• It should be 2.5 inch X 2.5 inch with White Background and 70% face visible.
• It should show your skin tone naturally.
• It should have appropriate brightness and contrast.
• The photograph should be a recent one not more than 3 months old.
• It is to be taken without headgear.
• It should be without hat/cap.
• It should be with the applicant's hair tucked behind his/her ears.
• The photograph should not have any staple marks.
