Overview

Applicants may apply in person in the respective VFS Visa application center.

VFS Global will accept applications as per the document checklists provided by the Turkish Consulate General in Erbil.

It is obligatory that visa applicants shall obtain their travel insurance in the visa application centers. The insurance policies shall be issued online by our own visa submission officers via an insurance company based in Turkey.

Applicant can apply maximum 60 days in advance for Turkey Visa.

If an application is rejected, the applicant cannot reapply for 60 days from date of refusal.

Important Note : All the fees are accepted in Turkey Visa Application Centers cash only.

Important Note*: Courier service is available only for delivery of the passports which received in Erbil Visa Application Center to Duhok Visa Application Center.

Documents Required

Tourism

  1. Passport

    Passport valid for at least 6 months or International Travel Document. Copies of the ID page, visas and stamps if any.

  2. Biometric Photo

    Recent biometric photograph (must be taken in the last 6 months with a white background, the face must be visible).

  3. ID Card

    ID card and its photocopy

  4. Family Record Certificate

    Family Record Certificate and its photocopy issued in the name of the applicant

  5. Travel Health Insurance

    Travel health insurance valid for at least 1 month from the date of travel. (Important Note: Travel Health Insurance Policy must be issued in our offices. Policies issued aside from our offices will not be accepted. If round trip ticket has been bought, insurance policy issued for the length of the stay will be accepted).

  6. Job Documents

    • If working in a government agency, signed and stamped letter certifying that he/she works in the government agency, which is issued by such agency and valid ID card certifying that he/she works in a government agency.
    • If tradesman, Commercial Identity Card and/or Import-Export Card issued by the Chamber of Commerce and stamped-signed reference letter from the Chamber of Commerce indicating that he/she engages in trade
    • If Company Owner, Company establishment, and registration documents, invoices (CMR documents), sales slips indicating that he/she receives goods/services from the company in Turkey
    • Stamped-signed and updated Lease Contract for the workplace, if any
    • If employee, guarantee letter from the company (the letter with contact information stating that the company official or owner guarantees the employee's position, date of commencement of work, dates when he/she is on leave and guarantees that he/she will return to his / her country and work after the travel), company establishment and registration documents, payrolls for the last 6 months.
    • If Union worker, stamped-signed Union Card issued by the affiliated union describing his/her job and/or stamped-signed reference letter
    • If pensioner, Pension Card
    • In case supported by a sponsor, job documents above belongs to the sponsor
  7. Financial Documents
    • Bank account statements for the last 6 months (stamped, signed, there must be at least $10,000 in balance.)
    • Documents of real properties in Iraq belonging to the person (title deed, license etc.), if any
    • Documents of real properties in Turkey belonging to the person (title deed, license etc.), if any
  8. Travel Documents (Optional)

    Round trip flight reservation/ticket or for those who prefer land route, bus ticket or vehicle license, international driver license, vehicle insurance

  9. Accommodation Documents (Optional)

    Certified hotel reservation during the vacation period in Turkey. Hotel reservation dates should match the flight dates.

  10. In the case of an Invitation from Turkey, Documents Requested from the Inviter
    • Notarized invitation from the inviter (reason and duration of invitation, a guarantee that person will return to his country at the end of travel and contact information must be presented).
    • Civil Registry Extract (detailed Civil Registry Extract showing family members and residence information).
    • Financial documents of the inviter (bank account statement for the last 6 months, title deed, license etc.)
    • Vocational documents of the inviter
  11. Additional Documents for Group Applications

    The institution organizing the travel plan shall provide a letter containing the travel plan details of all the members of the group, including dates of travel, and shall provide a guarantee letter stating that each individual shall return back to their countries.

  12. Documents for Minors
    • Notary approved deed of consent (6 months actual) from both parents or guardian must be presented. If the travel will be accompanied by a third person (except for parents or guardian) the name of the third person accompanying the child should be mentioned on the deed of consent.
    • The signature spaces on the application form should be signed by both parents at all conditions.
    • In case of divorce, the decision of the court showing the custody should also be presented in addition to the documents mentioned. In case that the hundred percent of the custody is on one parent and if this fact is mentioned in the court authority decision only the forms signed by the guardian will be sufficient, no deed of consent will be required.
    • In case of the death of one of the parents, the death certificate has to be submitted by the other parent.
    • Both parents should come to the application center.
    • No need to bring the minors to the application center.
  13. Additional Documents

    • If he/she previously resided in Turkey, residence document
    • If he/she previously resided outside of Turkey, residence document
    • Previously obtained Turkish visa, if any
    • Current or previously obtained Schengen/USA visa, if any
    • If he/she is a dual citizen, the relevant document

All the presented documentation must be up to date & complete. During the application for a Turkish visa, if the presented documentation is missing, this may cause a rejection in the procedure for a visa application as a result. Turkish Embassy, when required, shall ask for additional documentation from the applicant. The presentation of the above-mentioned documentation is not a guarantee that a visa will be granted. In any case, a refund of visa fees shall not be possible. Every individual shall prepare their documentation separately (this includes family members & group applications).

Photo Specifications

  • It should be in sharp focus and clean.
  • It should be of high quality with no ink marks and creases.
  • The photograph must show you looking directly at the camera.
  • It should be 2.5 x 2.5 inch with white background.
  • It should show your skin tone naturally.
  • It should have appropriate brightness and contrast.
  • The photograph should be a recent one not more than 6 months old.
  • It need to be taken without headgear.
  • It should be without hat/cap.
  • It should be without the applicant's hair tucked behind his/her ears.
  • The photograph should not have any staple marks.

Please note that the Visa Application Center may not accept photographs that do not meet these specifications. In case photos are not meeting the requirements mentioned above, submission officer may ask you to provide updated/recent photos.
