    The Australian Visa Application Centre in Hong Kong will offer extends operations from 27 June 2022 strictly by appointment.

    Operational days and timing for the AVAC, except public holidays, are:

    a. Operational days: Monday to Friday.

    b. Operational timings: 08:00 am to 03:00 pm.

    All other requirements stay the same. Please plan your visit to the Centre in keeping with this update.

    The Digital Passenger Declaration (DPD) has now replaced the Australia Travel Declaration.

    • All passengers arriving by air into Australia should complete the DPD
    • You will need to create an account, which will allow you to manage your current and future declarations in one place
    • You can start your DPD seven days before your flight and submit it within 72 hours prior to your departure for Australia. (This is because you must provide your health information and declaration within 72 hours before your flight.)

    Mandatory online lodgement change to Visitor Visa (subclass 600) all stream

    From 30 September 2021, all customers applying for a Visitor Visa (subclass 600) from outside Australia in any stream must lodge their application online via ImmiAccount. Customers applying for a Visitor visa (subclass 600) in Australia in the Tourist stream may lodge their application online via ImmiAccount or by posting their application to the Sydney office. The courier option will no longer be available.

    The Australian Visa Application Centre in Hong Kong extends operations from 28 October 2020 by offering Biometric enrolment for eligible subclass visa categories. The service offering will be in addition to existing operation of accepting supporting documentations for the following two visa categories only:

    1. Business Talent visa subclass 132
    2. Business Innovation and Investment visa subclass 188

    Current operational days and timing for the AVAC, except public holidays, are:

    1. Operational days: Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
    2. Operational timings: 08:00 am to 03:00 pm.

    Customers are required to make a prior appointment before visiting the centre as no walk-in appointments or in-person information services will be available. Customers needing assistance with completing their Visa form online can avail the service at the Visa Application Centre, for an additional fee. Please make this selection at the time of making your appointment.

    Travel restrictions are in place and subject to change. You cannot come to Australia unless you are in an exempt category or you have been granted an individual exemption to the current travel restrictions. Please check the Department of Home Affairs’ website for more information
