    Important information about visa submission/biometrics appointment if a tropical cyclone Number 8 storm signal or Black rainstorm warning alert notification is issued:

    In case such a weather warning is released by The Hong Kong Observatory to temporarily close businesses and schools in Hong Kong, applicants should visit the visa application center once the weather warning is lifted. Our website also provides the most up to date information about our operating hours. Applicants with scheduled appointments for the day may submit their visa applications without booking an appointment within the next 5 working days between 14:00 to 15:00. We will advise you of the approximate waiting time when you visit the visa application center as we will accept these applications on a first-come, first served basis.

    The Australian Visa Application Centres, Hong Kong, Service fees are changing. The new applicable fee, effective 15 September 2022, is HKD 350. Please plan your visit to our Centres in keeping with this update.

    From July 6 2022, the way you travel to and from Australia has changed. All travellers should be aware that:

    • People entering Australia do not need to provide evidence of vaccination status
    • People entering Australia do not need to complete the Digital Passenger Declaration or Maritime Travel Declaration
    • People leaving Australia will not be asked to provide evidence of their vaccination status
    • Unvaccinated visa holders do not need a travel exemption to travel to Australia
    • Masks are still required on flights travelling to Australia.
    • It is important to remember that airlines, vessel operators and other countries may have specific requirements that travellers need to comply with.

    The Australian Visa Application Centre in Hong Kong will offer extends operations from 27 June 2022 strictly by appointment.

    Operational days and timing for the AVAC, except public holidays, are:

    a. Operational days: Monday to Friday.

    b. Operational timings: 08:00 am to 03:00 pm.

    All other requirements stay the same. Please plan your visit to the Centre in keeping with this update.

    Mandatory online lodgement change to Visitor Visa (subclass 600) all stream

    From 30 September 2021, all customers applying for a Visitor Visa (subclass 600) from outside Australia in any stream must lodge their application online via ImmiAccount. Customers applying for a Visitor visa (subclass 600) in Australia in the Tourist stream may lodge their application online via ImmiAccount or by posting their application to the Sydney office. The courier option will no longer be available.
