NEW ZEALAND FAMILY RELATIONSHIP VISA
Overview
The purpose of New Zealand Family Relationship (subclass 461) visa is to allow non-New Zealand citizens to travel to and live in Australia with a New Zealand citizen family member who is a Special Category visa holder.
This visa is for family members of Special Category visa holders who are not eligible for a Special Category visa because they are not New Zealand citizens.
The Special Category (subclass 444) visa is a temporary visa automatically granted to New Zealand citizens who arrive in Australia but not holding a permanent visa.
Application forms for these visas are available on the Home Affairs website. Payment of the visa application charge can be made online through the ImmiAccount portal. However, online lodgement is not currently available for these visas. Completed forms must be posted to the following address:

As per the process, applicants applying for New Zealand Family Relationship (subclass 461) are required to visit a VAC for enrolling their Biometrics. Customers will receive an auto confirmation on the email ID provided at the time of application with the details that will be required for enrolling the Biometrics.
