Our additional services allow the applicants to obtain personalized assistance from professionally trained staff for completing and submitting their visa application. Please see below a brief description of the services we intend to offer at the Portuguese Visa Application Centers:
In order to make your visa process simpler and more convenient, VFS offers a wide range of additional services. Adhesion to them is optional and they are hired only by their choice. The use of any of these services will in no way impact your application decision.
Photocopy and Printing Services
Availability to make photocopies and printing of the VAF or any required document within the Visa Application Centre.

SMS Text
In order to inform the applicant about the visa application status during the entire visa application life cycle, SMS service sends automated confirmation feedback messages to applicant’s mobile phone and automated email messages to applicant’s email address.

Courier Service Regular and Express
Using the Courier Service allows applicants to have their Passport/Travel document returned by Special Delivery; here VFS uses the services of the courier company to any delivery address Brazil chosen by the applicant. This can be purchased at the time of the visa application submission and you will receive a Tracking number, which can be used on the courier company’s website in order to obtain an update about the courier process at any given time.

Courier Assurance
For a small amount, the applicant receives, besides complete refund of his passport and all visas, an extra of 300 USD in case the passport gets lost or robbed when in possession of the courier company.

Remote and In-Person Form Filling Assistance
A dedicated member of staff will complete your visa application form online as per the documents provided. All applicants are requested to verify the application form before proceeding to submit the application.

Self Service Kiosk
The Self-Service Kiosk system provides its users with both convenience and utmost security.
The Kiosk system is developed to cater to a wide spectrum of requirements ranging from visa or passport application submissions to registration of citizen cards. This self-service solution brings a greater flexibility and enhanced reach to client governments by enabling them to provide a multi-channel approach for application submissions.

Prime time appointment
VFS regularly receives cases from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm and from 1:30 pm to 3:00 pm. This service allows the client to have their process received at the following times:
- 08:00hrs - 08:30hrs
- 12:30hrs - 13:30hrs
- 15:00hrs - 17:00 hrs.

Walk-in Service
The application with no appointment is for customers who for some reason were unable to attend by appointment.
Note: To provide this service it will depend on the availability of schedules from the respective Visa Application Centers, not just the payment of the indicated fee.

Extended passport Return
Passport pickup is done regularly between 9 am and 11 am. With this service, the applicant will be able to withdraw between 8 am and 4 pm.

Check and verify service
A pay optional service wherein VFS Global conducts the first level of verification on the supporting documents submitted by the visa applicant. This service allows for trained staff to perform a series of pre-checks and initial validation on the mandatory documents for each visa category ensuring that the documents are in accordance with the standards followed by the Consular Post. This service will have no influence on the final decision by the competent authorities.
