In line with VFS Global’s philosophy of nurturing and
training employees for a variety of roles, each year, the
company’s Learning & Organisation Development team
rolls out over 35 customised development programmes
for its employees based around the world.
These expertly designed training modules cater to
the enhancement of the organisation’s top talent from
across the globe, and like building blocks, they are
introduced at every level of the organisation, from
managers to even the CEO/CXO-level leadership.
One of VFS Global’s most intensive flagship courses,
the Management Development Programme (MDP), is
a comprehensive 14-day-long offsite programme for
senior managers. Akin to a truncated MBA programme,
the MDP constitutes academic and project-based
training. To ensure optimal delivery of a wide range of
concepts and theoretical subjects, the course features
guest lectures from industry experts, in combination
with lectures from highly experienced internal faculty
members.
Over the years, apart from the identification of top
talent, another significant outcome from the MDPs
is the ideation of multiple business innovations, with
potential to become major revenue generation avenues.
Several business models that germinated during these
programmes have since, been successfully integrated
into operations. Thus, incubation of fresh business ideas
and developing a strong management cadre is central to
the purpose of these learning programmes.
