On 1 March 2019, VFS Global commenced operations of its second Belgium Visa Application Centre in Douala, Cameroon, following the one located in the capital city of Yaoundé. The centre has also been providing document legalisation services since 1 April 2019 on behalf of the Government of the Kingdom of Belgium.
Douala is the second city in Cameroon where the company offers visa application services for travellers who seek a visa to visit Belgium. The company had opened its first Belgium Visa Application Centre in the capital city of Yaoundé in September 2018.
To meet the growing travel demand to Belgium from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Embassy of Belgium in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and VFS Global launched a new Visa Application Centre in the city of Al Khobar in December 2018, followed by another in Jeddah in February 2019.
