With an aim to expand the visa services network for the
Government of the Republic of Turkey, VFS Global has
launched new Visa Application Centres for the client
government in Qatar’s capital city Doha, on 01 November
2016. Centres were also launched in three cities in
Algeria – Algiers, Constantine and Oran – on
06 December 2016.
Residents of these countries and expatriates, seeking to
travel to Turkey for business, tourism or education, will
now have access to a smoother and structured visa
application process.
Both countries share historic ties and a prominent trade
relationship with Turkey, contributing to the high demand
for visas to the country. The benefits for applicants
at the new centres include longer working hours for
applicants to submit their visa applications, on-ground
professional and multilingual staff support and expertise,
and uninterrupted access to commonly sought
information through a dedicated country website and an
exclusive contact centre.
While Qatar citizens currently do not require a visa to
visit Turkey, there is a surge in demand from expatriates
for the same. The new centre in Doha has a large
number of application submission counters and is fully
equipped with advanced security systems and facilities
to ensure a convenient experience for all applicants.
VFS Global has been present in Algeria since 2010,
serving a total of 9 client governments in the country.
Besides Qatar and Algeria, VFS Global also operates
Turkey Visa Application Centres in India, Nepal, and Iraq.
New launches are planned in other countries, in line
with the client government’s objective of expanding and
streamlining its global visa network.
